I give my chickens dried comfrey leaves crumbled up on their food. Not a pure protein but definitely a good source.

Oh yes I used those for years! Do you have a brand you like? I felt like the bottom of my bag was always just powder from them being pulverized. I personally had better luck with black soldier fly larvae but it’s the same concept! ✌🏻❤️🐓

Hi! I actually don’t vaccinate mine as I don’t have a lot of chickens and mine are just pets. I do deworm twice a year but that’s not a shot. Mareks would be the most important thing to vax against in my opinion but I’m not a vet. ✌🏻❤️🐓

When feeding chickens meat, is it better for them to eat it raw or cooked. Like ground turkey meat?

I’ve never done raw personally. They’d eat raw out in the wild but I wouldn’t want to make them sick or give them worms. ✌🏻❤️🐓

Oh my, your girls are so docile! I’ve got 8 hens that free range and eat bugs, frogs, snakes, and yes, voles 👍🏻. They love those dried mealworms and will come onto my back deck and knock on my door until fed. Obviously, I am well-trained to oblige 🤣🤣. Yup, they’ll eat about anything I bring out to them. They will only eat comm’l chicken feed as a LAST resort. I like the yogurt idea and will mix that into their nightly meal of oatmeal and scratch seed. Nice video, thanks!
