I have Genji in my town, but my law about who is allowed to stay in this town is: Be pretty + Be nice = legal rights to stay. Though Cranky villagers will have to be befriended in order to be judged for this law.

You could also just say “screw it” and time travel to a few years later, and you might just have everyone’s goodbye letters ☠️

In "Welcome Amibo", you can find a magic lamp and scan in your favorite amibo. Once you do, they ask if you want an item or if you want them to move to town. If there's not enough vacancies, you can make someone leave. Cycle through the options until you find the person you want to move out. And boom, you're done!

And getting them wrong may lead your villager to move out, so I sometimes get them wrong on purpose 😅

I mailed a letter to one of my unwanted villagers saying "please move out" and the next day they told me they were going to move the next week

I think it's confusing that the villagers who you befriend the most are usually the ones that decided to move out rather than the other way around

something i saw on tumblr, who knows if it works tho So I was playing around with my game and finding a way to get my villagers to move out the fastest, and I found one! This is 100% effective, I’ve tried it multiple times on multiple villagers. First, find the villager you’re trying to move out, and talk to them until they say they have to remember something or they are “thinking”. Save and quit, and time travel two days forward. Find that same villager, and walk/run past them, they WILL ping you, and it WILL be about moving. I guarantee this works 100%. Though, it make take two tries in the most, because they might not decide to move after all. Have fun moving out villagers!

And I haven't been able to get rid of her since then and it has been a long time since Bill moved away. It is really driving me crazy and everyone else is wanting to move out EXCEPT BLAIRE! TheMeloettaful I actually managed to get Octavian and a few other annoying villagers out of my town! I talked to him once a day for maybe 1 or 2 weeks. He just pinged when I was making my rounds and asked if he should move out. I am so happy he moved out! I put my flower clock right where his was so no one could move in the same spot again. I definitely recommend you try my method out if you have been struggling for a while now.

But ever since I updated the game there had been a lot of changes. :I And I didn't update the game for a really really long time so it was a huge jump and there are a lot of features now. Anyways, good luck!

I'm really trying to fix the layout and overall look of my town. I even put down patterns so new ones wouldn't move in and everything. Turns out, I missed a spot, and now Bam has placed his house exactly where I *didn't* want it. :)

I remember once that when I was about…7?I started to hate a frog villager so I started being the meanest I could to him, but I paid a lot of attention to Filbert because he’s my favorite villager. About a week or so later I get 2 letters, one from my mom and one from the frog. I read my moms letter first reading something about me slipping on ice and got a hospital wall with it. The other letter read Filbert has moved out. I went to the original spot of where the frog was and guess what?He was still there-

I've been doing the 1st method for at least a year, so I thought I was doing something wrong, thanks for the tips I really enjoyed them!

Thanks, due to some time travels (I wanted to get a lot of trendy furniture for my house) I lost my only Uchi character, Flo. I haven't unlocked PWPs like the bus stop and some other zen builds so I wanna get rid of Gabi, my least favorite one, who just moved in and bother any unnecessary villager until I get an Uchi again. (Yes I don't have an amiibo scanner, ACNL cards and I play on a 2DS).

I tried all the methods and you were right! the first one was the best. It only took me two weeks to get Cyrano out of my town! tysm

You can also ask a character wisp turned into to move in when you have too many people there and he will say you have to many so who would you like to move away and you can pick

I just got this game and built a super nice house away from everyone in town, its nice because i planted flowers everywhere to make a garden. Today Julian built their house RIGHT IN FRONT OF MINE. I havent even meet this charater yet and i already hate them, i feel kinda bad because they might be super cool. I tried this and it wasn't very effective. It took me about a month/month and a half to get the character to move. I trapped her until she fell in pitfalls, I hit her with my net, I yelled in her face with a megaphone, I pushed her around, etc. and she eventually moved away :3

What I do: as soon as I get ordinances I enact the beautiful town ordinance, then since I dont have any favorites, (I also have amiibo) I keep fast forwarding 15 somethin days at a time

literally ALL my villagers I love asked me to leave and the ones I want to leave keep staying :( I literally tried all of these and they dont work

Also you can keep villagers if you hear gossip about them wanting to leave and if they look happy to see you and surprised it might be that.

Been playing this game almost 2 years. I've never seen a couple characters before. Maybe they moved out (not sure). Animal concept came from the Wuzzles (was an 80's cartoon show, those who don't know). Rooney looks like a blue dog and a kangaroo. Isabelle looks like a dog but also a lamb!

i have been trying to get rid of tbone for a year plus the ignore them dosen't work so i am trying pitball seeds

I also have Wendy in my town, and she also calls me “Sweet-E”.

Another way I guess relates to option two because I kept reporting the villager two Isabelle and he moved away shortly after

so in 2015 i was an idiot and decided to demolish my town, and i lost all my fav villagers! my favorite especially was Deena, but I lost her! I literally loved all my villagers in that town but stupid me demolished it. so now i dont like ANY of my villagers except for Tabby. But its not like I can get them all to move out right? lmao. I think the one I really don't like is Rolf. He was pretty mean to me at the beginning because i havent played ACNL since 2015 and he was mad that it took me 3 years to meet him and just ughhhhhh

rolf is in my town and if you actually talk to him a lot, he makes less snarky remarks and is actually quite nice. if you visit cranky villagers’ houses often and do favors for them and compliment them when the chance is given, they open up and become pretty cool characters to be around.

option 3 is the best. i was so nice to one of my villagers, they wanted to move within 2 days. :P

Beardo decided to move in RIGHT in front of a bridge I had JUST placed a couple days before. I was so angry that I did everything I could. Sent him angry letters, reported him to Isabelle, and hit him with my net until he would get angry or sad. I did it so many times that I actually started to feel bad and after he finally moved out I felt like I had murdered someone which made me cry and have a panic attack.

Apollo moved literally RIGHT next to me and he plants flowers everywhere around my house and it’s so annoying because I keep running through them and destroying them! I want him to move out but the only thing is that I actually like his character so I’m probably not gonna make him move out. I restarted my old town and I miss my two favorite characters: Prince and Dora so Apollo is the only connection I have to my old town since he was there too IDK WHAT TO DOOOO

But what if the villager you want to get rid of is a starting villager? Do you just introduce yourself to them then ignore them?

If i ignore a villager will they pack their stuff and move out without telling you? Because normally villagers ask before they pack their stuff and leave.

Well, i've had Gala that i never ever actually wanted in my village, did the ignore method, still haven't moved out after 3 weeks. I had to resort to exporting my save and using the editor to tick in the "this villager will move out tomorrow" option to get rid of her.

This "ignore" method no longer works after the Welcome Amiibo update it seems :P

I have a few villagers I what gone, once I exadenly talked to the, while hitting them with a net, while I was trying to ignore them, does dat matter.z

Well I think making them your bff is the best way!

Thank you so much this one village moved on top of my bamboo garden right smack dab in the middle of it and I hated him! I hate his guts I straight up ignored him and I just want him to leave! Eventually he did within a matter of a couple days I just straight up ignored him and I beat him with my net SUCCESS!!!

Ugh I have the elephant Big Top in my world and he's always cheeky to my villagers

if you get their picture, is it still possible to make them move out?

Option 2 worked really well for me: One day Velma moved into my town on my flower hybrids, and every day for just 1 week I would harass her by hitting her and pushing her etc. She moved out pretty fast - she didn’t tell me, send a letter or anything!

This guide gave me shari. I LOVE HER!! Edit:I time traveled to get villagers to move but Tia took 2YEARS to finally move out via tt. Edit 2:The only reason I wanted Tia to leave is she had completely destroyed my paths. Oh and then Rodney moved to the corner of my paths.

I was playing the other day and I got a new villager. It was a mouse can’t remember her name. A few days after the mouse move in and it was her birthday. I gave her the common wall and she said she love it. After that she sent me a mail that shes moving. It happen in 1 animal crossing week I think.

I was super lucky when my villagers moved in, 4 of them moved in in a row :)

Holy damn,I am now thankful of new horizon letting us decide where the villager located their house .It would be a nightmare for me having the villagers destroying my flower garden and fruit trees.

I demolished my town because Rubis was gone. I had her picture with me and it makes me sad 😢

One time I gave lilly an ironing board and she gave me her retro fridge. Today she said she wanted something to replace the ironing board so I gave her fridge back and she gave me the ironing board back.

So I got a villager from the campsite yesterday named Kiki and I told her to come stay. She kept talking about where to live and stuff but today, I can't find the place where her house should be...... HELP!!!!!!

If for example, Henry in my town leaves, will a new villager come and take his place or will i have a lower villager rate forever?

If Henry was your 9th villager and he leaves putting you down to 8 villagers, another villager will try to move in pretty quickly. If he was your 10th villager and he leaves putting you down to 9 villagers usually someone won't move in unless you've been online playing with people recently, you went out walking with your 3DS and streetpassed someone or if you can in an Amiibo card :)

@@SimplyPressStart okay, thank you! Im not sure how many villagers i have, but wart jr is leaving my town soon so ill try counting all the houses on the map (not including mine of course)

I just started a new town (demolished my old one from 2012) and Beardo moved in RIGHT NEXT TO MY BRIDGE! Like DUDE REALLY! I never knew that if you ignored them they would just go away... (I used to harass them and report them to Isabel) but I was wondering if reporting them to Isabel actaully worked or not? If you know ?

It feels like any time a villager I dislike says they are thinking of moving and I say See Ya!, they say that I just don't know them well enough and that they are never leaving. Like why even bring it up then ffs
