I remember my favorite villager (Aurora) told me that she wanted to move out and I was much younger when she asked me this and I was so conflicted cause I wanted her to stay but I also wanted her to be happy and if she wanted to move then she should move. So I did and I loaded the game back up today and she is back in my town in the exact place she was back in 2013. (So much time has passed)

That's why amiibo support is my absolute favorite thing that was added to the game!! All you need to do is scan an amiibo and if you already have 10 villagers you can just decide who leaves. So easy, I love it so much!

Chelsea N. You just have to have the Amiibo Cards of the Villagers that you want in your town and then speak to the ghost in the lamp that you get in the beginning of the game. If you hold down your amiibo card you can choose if that villager should move into your town or if you want to get an item from them! It’s really easy

hello, i have a question. does anyone know if scanning in a villager with an amiibo card and asking them to move in can override the 16 villager cycle rule? for example, i moved out ankha since her home location was pretty bad. only a couple of villagers have moved out since she did, so i definitely wouldn't be able to even ask her to move back in while she's in boxes in another town because of the 16 villager rule. what i'm wondering is if scanning in her amiibo card completely ignores that rule so that she could already move back in. i feel like it should work, considering that an amiibo card is technically a paid "accessory" for the game, so the player should be able to get what they want with it, yknow? but if anybody can confirm, that'd be rad. thank you

You know you don't have to time travel to move out an unwanted villager, you can ignore them, never talk to them or anything. The animals have a "Being Wanted" trait and if you ignore them they won't feel wanted and will move

I've had ACNL for a really long time, so I've realized this - Villagers are more likely to want to move out if they're close to you than if you're ignoring them. I know this because I've had terrible luck with villagers, but I could be completely wrong..

I have my own method that works a lot faster than any method I've tried so far. My method is to talk to the villager 2 to 3 times every few days and that gets them out in less than 2 weeks

Chow. Scared off a rare bug I was gonna catch. Chow. Called me ugly when I got stung by bees. Chow. I don't talk to chow, because he is not that in intresting. Chow. Is now moving out.

Actually once you find out a villager is planning to move it's better to continue ignoring them since they might decide to change their minds if you talk to them, even if you tell them to leave. You don't need them to tell you about their plans to leave for them to actually leave so ignoring them doesn't come with the risk of them changing their minds.

In my experience, make sure to talk them them once every week. When town is full, a villager should ask to move every 10 days or so. It will be random, but as long as you talk to the villager once a week, they will have the ability to come up to you and say they want to move. If they change their mind, just quit without saving

If you plant a perfect fruit you will get more perfect fruit. For example, if you harvest a perfect apple from a normal apple tree, and plant that perfect apple, all three fruits grown from the tree will be perfect apples.

This is why you're not meant to time travel more than 2 days! 😆 Try to be more careful next time, it'd be pretty bad if you were to lose another of your favorites (that is, if you still have a favorite).

I hated Lucha he moved right on top of major pathway on my town so I got him to move.

Back on the gamecube version if I had a villager I didn't like I would dig holes around the door or use sign post. They would just stand there all sad and when the fall festival came I could do this to all the villages to avoid having my clothes burned while farming Jack.

I know this tutorial has got a few years under its belt, but it wooooorks! I’ve started my town yesterday and already have been able to move one out! 💗 they were my ninth villager so I’ll pair this with the plot resetting by placing designs everywhere but a few nice 3x3 plots where I want them to go hehe, make sure to make a new character until someone takes their place

That is not true

I had a villager move right into this campround/garden area I spent a lot of hard work and time on, and where the villager's house had completely ruined it l. So, every day I would search for them and hit them with my net, but sometimes I'd accidentally talk to them and got too close- so that was tricky (and I felt pretty bad!) but eventually they moved away and I was able to fix my area! I put a town project in that went with my scheme and to prevent any other villagers from moving there again. So far so good.

Oh my goodness this cleared so much up! Thanks for another awesome guide - yours are my fave cos they're so helpful :)

If I use this method then time travel back to the original day will it undo the villager saying they want to move out? I’m fine with time travel but I want to keep the date correct for events and stuff

If a villager decides to move out on a certain date, can you time travel to that date without checking if they still want to move out? Because you said you should only time travel 2 days at a time, and sometimes talking to them can make them change their mind about moving.

Yessssss My unwanted villager will move out tomorrow!!!!

A villiger moved on to my bushes next to my house T^T

Thank you for telling me to not time to travel to more than two days I have the beautiful Town ordinance site and I didn't know it starts at 6 a.m.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could just selectively hand pick the villagers we want and wouldn’t have to worry that a villager that we don’t like might move in I heard that you can insert villagers from the card pack series in the game by talking to that ghost from the lamp

Does this method work if you have a villager that's been in your town forever? I have had one since I started the game (Jitters) and I want to get rid of him :(

Who else just goes one day ahead in time travel...that's all I do

does anyone know if you time travel by changing the day in your ds settings, can you go back to real time without losing any progress?

what do i do if the villager I wanted to move out asks to move out but I make the wrong decision and they decide to stay? can they still move out?

or you can just annoy them and be mean

I had 3 uchi villagers and now 2 I liked moved out ;-; now there's the one that I hate soo much and I just want her to move out, help...

@鬼死 Idk, the guide works for me except for the ignoring. They usually went quickly if I talked to them about once a day.

This was the only solution to move Timbra out of my town, she was the first villager ever to move in, and was already one year (almost two now) with me, and she would always change her mind and stay. It's tryicky because sometimes she would say something like "ok I'm moving out on the X day" and no matter what I choose, she goes "sike, you love me too much for me to leave", so I had to pull out this trick to get her out and hope she wouldn't fool me again. It worked wonders, now I can place Savannah's house in there

I had 9 villagers and was waiting for a cute one in an amiibo pack but peewee moved in out of nowhere and right next to my house (destroying perfect peach trees and a bunch of pink roses) , thank you so much!

Honestly i think that Nintendo should stop patching hacks because then that is just unfair to the player, because i want to hack MY town but I can't hack MY town because Nintendo patched it for the new update, its our games and our towns. Nintendo shouldn't have a say in if we decide to hack or not.

Yeah! My town will never look as nice as hers because Nintendo is patching hacks. How else will I be able to design my town exactly how I want? It's not as if this game is specifically multiplayer and we're cheating to get new stuff that will make us OP.

Because you aren't meant to hack! Jeez just do your town naturally, mine is made without hacks in I couldb't be more happy with it

This worked for one of my Villagers, but another villager I want to move out is NOT moving out. I did what you said for 1 month. Now she sending me letters and I haven't talked to her. Nothing! What do I do now?

My villagers keep telling me Tom wants to move out i talked to him until he had the thinking bubble but he wont say anything pleade help i dont want him to go

To be honest kinda messed up hit him with a net wow

I am fine with time traveling because I hate all the villagers I have. BTW, can you change the time back to the actual date after you are done?

Once I accidentally time warped 5 months and my favour villager moved out. :( she moved to my sisters village and taunts me

As soon as you where talking about lucha moving in in my town he said he was moving out 😂

A week ago a villager put up a plot RIGHT ON TOP OF MY FLOWER PATHS THAT I HAD WORKED SO HARD ON AND BLOCKING MY BRIDGE. I was so upset that I haven’t played since.

you neglect your town to the point where weeds cover every single surface, you have the worse bedhead ever, your house is a cockroach daycare, and everyone in town thinks you're dead.

Canberra said Beardo was moving out so I went to talk to him to tell him to stay and he said he heard a rumor about me. Doesn't that contradict your theory? I'm big confuse

I have had a villager move in and I didn’t talk to her the first day, and she left in less than 4 weeks after, it was weird
