Back when we put paths AS decorations.

Even though they're a lot more pixellated, I kinda like the graphics in New Leaf more than in NH 😭 To me, there's just something genuinely appealing about the simplicity and imperfections (combined with that nostalgia, of course). Anyway, really nice video! I always enjoy seeing other people's towns. ^___^

new leaf is just nicer to play and the villagers feel more "real" I guess although the clothes, furniture and terraforming in horizons is quite a bit better

When you talked about Harry it reminded me of my most hated villager: Diva. I tried to get her to move out (hit her with my net, pushed her into traps, walked into her until she got mad) until finally one day she asked me whether she should move out or not. I obviously said YES and she essentially just said "You're not gonna get rid of me that easily" and STAYED. I loved her after that and she is to this day one of my favourites. It's unfortunate that we can't really build these "bonds" to our villagers in ACNH now simply because their dialogue and interactions are so boring! You can't even really tell their individual personalities apart because they're all so similar. :(

Omg this reminds me of my hatred towards Elmer. I hated him because he destroyed my favourite place of my town completely by moving in. After an eternity he asked if he could leave and I sayed YES and was so happy. The day before he was supposed to be in the house in boxes he spoke to me about moving and when I once again told him he could leave, he LOST IT and told me he would stay. So I was super angry and closed the game without saving and never spoke to him again. I was so done with him😂

I hate Stinky, he made me reset 3 of my towns, cuz i would time travel until he left AND HE DIDNT! i have beef with him.

I never played this game, I only had City folk but my god were the items so much better in this game compared to new horizons. It’s been so long now, I doubt they’d be able to bring them all back. I want that sushi bar so bad…

Yeah there are definitely a ton of really cute items i wish they would switch over. The ones they did are soooo pretty and I can only imagine how nice the HD versions would be.

Omg, your story about Pietro is so similar to mine! He moved next door to my house, in the middle of my golden roses. I was so upset. But he was such a hilariously friendly dork that he quickly became my favorite villager. 😅

I miss new leaf, actually scratch that I miss all the old animal crossing games. New horizons feels like I'm playing with a stale piece of gum.

I don't remember my NL town very well but it DID NOT look like this. I'm blown away at what we were able to do in this game and I somehow did none of that in my town?? I mean I'm not great with island/town design and I wasn't as involved in the online community back then but wow...I had no idea that some of this was possible. This is awesome!!! P.s. some of these comments didn't age well but in a good way. So glad we got some old furniture sets!!!

I finally found my cartridge of new leaf when I was a kid today I feel so badly going back into this town after 6 years

8 years old?!?! That's a long time! Hopefully that doesn't happen to my game on my Nintendo Switch. Haha! 😂

Great video! I love your town, especially all the paths! I'd love to see more town tours. I have New Horizons but burned-out on it quickly and in March of this year started a new New Leaf town. No hate for NH. I just personally prefer NL.

BRING BACK THE FLEA MARKET! That would be so useful!

sometimes islanders in acnh will run up to you and ask you to do them a favor like give someone else a gift as an apology or something like that! and i think the closest equivalent to the police station would be the recycling box in resident services but i'm not totally sure.

I'm so mad at myself for resetting my new leaf town so much (probably like 20 times) I wish I could've just stuck with it and worked with the layout so I could look back on it like this. if I opened the game now It's probably just an empty town :( I started playing in 2013

Note to self: I'm gonna copy part of Kuriie's fancy library room. I might turn my game room into a library sometimes. Holy freaking shit, Batman, she managed to fit four musical instruments into this room. I can't wait to get my hands on the violin, harpsichord, and pipe organ. If only T & T Emporium could hurry up and sell them. I'll put them in that library room I'll make. There's a large book shelf and also a plant in the corner. Oh wow, the Rococo furnitures, the lounge chaise and the tartan rug are a nice touch. Her rococo furnitures are blue and gold??? I better look into that, looks like those can be customized too. Oh she has a lucky clover? Mmph, lucky biatch. I've been looking for one of these for over three months, but I only get the kind that you can pull like weed, not a lucky one that you can display on an open book in your house. Oh wow, is that a Rococo lamp? Beautiful. Is that a pendulum clock above the harp? The left is always the kitchen and the right is always the bathroom? Oh wow, I thought I was the only one. As of now, my main room is my bedroom, the room on the left on the first floor is the kitchen, the room on the right on the first floor is the bathroom, the room in the back is my game room, my living room is in my basement, and my study room is on the second floor. Those are not in-game-clothes Kurrii's player character is wearing in this video. Is Kuriie one of the numerous people who scan and used custom design qr codes found online? I sure do. Today I was wearing the beautiful and comfy green zipper sweater found on this page: www.jvgs.net/qrcodes/shirts.htm I freaking love the green zipper sweater (I applaud and high-five the creator of this custom design article of clothing, this beautiful and comfy green knitted shirt with long sleeves, and with hood and zipper), I wear it with with the following in-game clothes; dry denim pants, (dark blue), white socks, green-stripe shoes and blue umbrella. Green and blue go so well together.

Me too, is there a reason for that?? I don't know where that tendency would come from. In all my animal crossing games, it's: Main: Living room Back: Library/Office/Chill room Left: Kitchen Right: Bathroom Upstairs: Bedroom Basement: Something weird, like a murder basement or a temple

The last time I played new leaf was 3 years ago but I still have a perfect vision of what my town looked like

I went back to my town recently and I too tried to make a DJ room and it turned a storage

New Leaf is my fav AC game, I've put hundreds of hours on it and i still play it daily! i believe is always going to be the best AC game, at least to me, it got me by lots of hard times. Everything is balanced, you can costumize your house and your town but is not overwhelming as in NH, villagers still had some personality, and there is minigames after the Amiibo update! i love this game with all my heart.

I should go back to it. I think theyre are so many events and things i didnt experience🤔

edit: i am SO INCREDIBLY SORRY FOR THIS UPCOMING RANT OMG 😭😭 i restarted my very first town after i got my 3DS fixed (after like 7 whole years). i kinda regret it, but i ADORE getting to play it from the beginning again. i love ACNL. it’s got so much more personality and it’s so charismatic, it appreciates you more, and it’s way less stressful. you can decide to do nothing and live life as it is, or you can decide to dress up your town as much as possible. whatever you say has a great impact on how they react to you, rather than them just laughing it off. they have more realistic emotions, and it’s just…so perfect. in ACWW, it’s just as amazing, if not more, but it’s so much more grainy. but ACNH….it’s just…so..bad. granted, there’s a PLETHORA of amazing stuff you can do there, don’t even get me started-but as many people have said, it’s so mindless and pristine and plastic it feels like. rather than the characters feeling like real people who reside there, they feel like ACTUAL robots who just say the same things over and over again. if only they continued to update NL, or even created a new line of 3DS’ and brought back Miiverse and all that, i would be so grateful. even more so if they added a few (a FEW.) things from new horizons, like being able to place more things outside, more decoration in houses, all of the furniture in new horizons, getting to work at HHP in-game so you don’t have to buy a whole new game for it, and being able to make food that gives you different effects (rather than no affect at all or just being able to dig up whole trees, since they were already diggable without all that fruit business. there’s just so many possibilities and whatnot they could do with so many games, including animal crossing, but they just don’t take them into consideration…

omg WHAT u know game Rhapsody a musical adventure from ps1!? its like my the most beloved guilty pleasure game (i was ashamed to play it because its so cute game) now i named my ACNH island in honor of it and would be so awesome if u create Cornet outfits! i started to play ACNL just recently and its so fun! i love ur videos so much 💕

I had chadder as my starter villager in new leaf and haven't left town but 3 or 4 months ago my 3ds touch screen was going crazy and not responding hopefully he doesn't move out.

To be honest, I’m really torn on which to play, ACNL or ACNH, I loved New Leaf ever since I was 12 and plus of all the original stuff that didn’t make its way over to new horizons and plus the pixellated charm. But New Horizons has everything and everyone in HD and somewhat has the things from New Leaf, I also do love that you can actually place down things anywhere and terraform your island but for me at least, it’s kind of overwhelming and I love the simplicity of New Leaf. Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am :/ I got my first town on the 08.10.2014, but accidentally deleted it.. I mean, after a few other tries, I made my new town in the beginning of 2016 and it lookes great, but imagine.. It would have got 7 years old this year ^^“
