1) Reward yourself. 2) Be clear on your intentions and motivations behind what you're doing. 3) Do the first 2 minutes of the task and you'll probably naturally end up just doing the rest. 4) Checklists. 5) Manage your time well.

the multitasking bit, WoW taught me that xD when I was doing dungeons, it didnt matter how many mobs i hit with my AOE attacks, i would always kill more quicker if i focused on 1 mob at a time

Hi, I'm just here to say this is the first ad during all my years on KZread that's ever ACTUALLY helped me. You go, girl.

You uploaded this right in the middle of finals week, when they smash all the homework and papers and projects down our throats. You know what you're doing 😎

The more you live the better you understand that the biggest blessing in your life can be a presence of dream and an ability to set goals. Because if you're hardworking and generally deserve to get what you want - you'll get it. But when you just don't know what you want - you are fucked. Just a random speech because I accomplished a lot of my goals and suddenly somehow lost myself in the process (or maybe the things I wanted wasn't actually my real dream - I don't even know now). And it threw me back to the start and now I'm disappointed and anxious again and just don't know how to behave. Do I keep going? Should I change everything? Should I take a break or wait until I'll break? Just what do I do? Ugh...

It`s just that I want to somehow know the future and know where would I be the best, the happiest, the most helpful(( And there is no way to know such a thing! Especially for a person with reeeally different interests: music, acting, drawing, economics, politics, martial arts, social work, languages( HOW DO I CHOOSE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!? It`s driving me crazy...

Anna is my favorite KZreadr... she doesn't ignore the bad things in life, but she has this realistic optimism that makes me feel better about life after watching her videos. I liked doing it on my own, but they taught me the value of hard work and that if I wanted something, I should equate it with working for it. Anytime I wanted something, they gave me tasks to complete in order to get it. Titanic on VHS was from a day of pulling weeds.

That’s great for you, but that’s not how every person’s brain works. For example, the brains of people with ADHD don’t produce dopamine (the reward neurotransmitter) correctly. So caring about your grades might be enough for you to do well in school because your brain provides the dopamine reward without the external reward, but for many children AND adults external motivation is truly necessary to meet their full potential. Like I said, it’s great that you don’t need external motivation, but that doesn’t mean people who do are below you or have less potential, they’re just different.

Something that's also worked for me is rewards based on effort, and REALLY separating tasks, like if i need to write a paper, ill reward myself after having a good, doable idea, then again after i write 3 paragraphs of a rough draft, and then when i finalize it. This way im putting less pressure on myself, and doing things step by step makes me feel less overwhelmed and like im cheating the system (which is fun), even though in the end i still have a paper done. Having a small but productive goal each day is much easier to me than one big goal on the last minute

Bought it before the Fall semester. Highly recommend it. Downside is printer compatibility. I may not have tried every option to fix it, but pretty sure tech support is necessary.

Yes. Great advice. As a medical student, making a schedule that overestimates the amount of studying I can get done in a day just results in anxiety and less motivation when I only accomplish half that amount. Gotta keep it realistic and make time for breaks 👍
