Two days ago I was paid $451.62 ( IC $276.72/tip $175. 90) for a 107 items (156 unit) 15.5 mile Full Service batch to an upscale vacation home. Plus she gave me a $80 cash tip!. I broke my max mileage I'm willing to drive rule for that one!. I owe her everything.

Actually I have a response to that, me and my roommate will be comparing to see if we get the same batches but apparently according to instacart customer service they told me that it's them who sent out the batches to the instacart shoppers even if the batches are available and doesn't necessarily mean everyone gets to see the same batches on their availability list so another words it's instacart who chooses what batches we get

@@abimaelochoa160 That's interesting. What I'd like to know is why is there's a delay or lag between me and my buddy getting the same batches. Does it have to do with processor speed or phoneservice or iPhone vs. Android? I don't think so because it varies between the two of us. Sometimes I see the same batch he's seeing but a few seconds later and then the reverse happens. My biggest concern is trying to maintain my $200 daily average when I know there's new shoppers signing up everyday. I also wonder if Instacart algorithms give better batches to shoppers with seniority or with good ratings and reviews. Unfortunately I don't think their customer service reps are well trained because yiu get different answers to the same question from different reps.

@@abimaelochoa160 the other question I have is whether you're allowed to take an batch from a Costco 20 miles away but do the shopping at your local Costco and then do the delivery and still get full payment. I did it once with no problem but a Rep told me I couldn't. So once again, you can't always trust the info the reps give out.

It's not the bots as much as it is instacart sending batches to 25% of the shoppers a select few who always accept the first batches of the day. My mom gets batches none stop all day then I get 2 a day and we're in same city lol

Also I drive about 10 mins from my house and park and refresh about 100 times and then I pick one and swipe not caring about distance. But I've gotten lucky that they are in my neighborhood. I do drive away from the city of Seattle so you may have to drive to a richer area and stay away from cities.

Emmy van den Berg what time do you start your shopping? I’m also in seattle doing IC in the northwest used to be good but now it’s super saturated. What sector of seattle do you shop at if you don’t mind sharing?

$286 for a 43 item batch and $389 for another 43 item batch (116 units on this one tho). Both of them were single orders about 2-3 miles from store. I love this woman!

I don't understand how Instacart cannot see who is paying for a batch. All they have to do is see who is taking very high paying batches and audit it.

Call in and have them add more zones. However if you drive to a certain zone they can see you on your maps and tracks you. Boom you get batches in that area

I am finding the ones that have the faster times have a helper with them.

That isn't allowed unless the person shopping with them also happens to be an instacart shopper. Co-shopping isn't allowed and can get an Instacart shopper in trouble.

@@calebhoney6159 When I worked at Kroger I had a group of four shopping and they tried to go through self-checkout which they are not supposed to do. We had to void the order because we couldn't even suspend it and two of them ganged up on me. So that does happen but not very often.

So I’m going to start by saying that I have done over 70 batches thus far, and started Instacarting over the summer to make some extra money. Now mind you, I am in school, and I work a part time job so Instacart has saved me on numerous instances. I've had some good batches over time, but never as good as the ones I get now thanks to "Gigshield". I enjoy this gig a lot more now and it helps me have a secondary job, so to speak. Thank you so much.

Top.of the screen or open it up after you click screen where its says no batches available or keep sliding it down to refresh soon as it turns green slide that bugger hard. You need a phone holder on your dash plugged in so your always charged and an iPad so u can see the batches bigger.. im getting an iPad f this that buttons so tiny lol

I work for Instacart and I just started. But I keep getting harassed by workers at the grocery store, finally I kinda just raged at one and he ran away cause he probably didn’t expect me to say anything

They mostly follow me and keep saying how I “steal” food for people that need it are important. When I usually drop the food off at the door of elderly. Sometimes they won’t help me and ignore me if I need it so it’s kinda hard.

Jessica that’s BS they’d say that to you. Groceries are food and you’re shopping for people who need them and obviously can’t be out right now. Wether the customers ordered online or shopped for themselves in-store there is no difference. It’s not like you’re hoarding food for yourself or anyone. Everyone needs to eat!!!! Pay them no mind

Yeh new to it and have not done a batch yet.You come at me with that kinda craziness, you gonna get schooled. Like ultimately the customer I am shopping for may be vulnerable or not wanting to come out. They the customer are still buying products which keep you employed. So go back to stocking the shelves and cleaning like you are suppose to be doing and not intimidating an essential employee. OR simply say excuse me who is your manager I would like to speak with them.

As a shopper in my location. Their app goes down on me at least once a week. Usually when I'm in the middle of shopping a batch. I currently having a few issue with Instacart. My first issue I can never talk to a live person. I have to go to the chat line which always times out during my chat! Which brings me to my current issue. I worked a batch on Wednesday, the app went down. Luckily, since this has happen before, I always take a picture of the customer address. I was able to complete the order and delivery the groceries. As I look at my weekly earning, I noticed I was not getting paid for that day. Instacart has informed me, that they show no record of it, even though I have provided proof of the receipt , and the customer address . They do not want to pay me!!!! Also, because they show no record the customer is not getting charged. I'm very frustrated.

Yas girl! I was literally finished a batch and the whole app crashed for 40 minutes. It was awful! I felt bad for the customers. You couldn't even text them because the app was down.

@@ginar7187, Next time that happens go and check out and deliver the groceries. But make sure you show you finished it on the app. This way the customer is not waiting for the grocery . That's the problem I'm having. They have not paid me for that batch that I delivered. I always make a screen shot of their address, so I have it. Its very frustrating.

Same experience. Frustrating. Then you go home and divide your amount you made by the hours you worked (sitting there frustrated, chatting on the side of the road or in the store aisle) and you're like oh yay I made minimum wage today. Some days are depressing.

My boyfriend is a 5.0 star shopper, however he hasn’t been on the app for a while. He really needs the money right now, but unfortunately no batches will pop up for him. Does this have to do with the fact that he hasn’t shopped for a while?

Instacart isn’t going to do anything about it. All their batches are being taken, shopped, and delivered. I live in Miami, FL... I can’t even touch a batch anymore.

Batches are available in my city and surrounding cities it's just that the boss has taken over so bad that the app glitches Twitches blink and you're not able to get app after 10 a.m. and then only under $12

Lesly Calixte If you're close to Sunrise, Fl, try to get hired for Amazon Flex, it's $54-$67 for 2-3hr block with 25-30stops & all smallish boxes, I do this with Kia Soul or Ford Focus hatchbacks...if you live near a Whole Foods with Amazon delivery, blocks make tips $75-$125 with only 5-8 stops but heavier bags with cold food or water jugs...Instacart now impossible to get a short food list batch over $10 unless I drive 20+mi.

Maria Ramos ??? I saw in a blink another Wellington batch today for $45 but blinked again & it's gone. I tried staring at the screen several times today but even then I struck out. I'm going to stay away from Instacart rest of the week until Saturday,..I needed to get out of the house yesterday & picked up a Amazon Flex block in WPB. Delivered mostly downtown & PB island...Lived in WPB 10 years ago & downtown has changed so much but not Palm Beach, still the same ultra rich people.

Miami area we cant get batches at all and when I see one or two and I try to open it gives my error and gone. NOt batches at all in for the last 3 weeks. Anybody know how to communicate with instacart? email or phone number should be fine and no way to find it on the app.

i have the same problem, i live in doral, and already tryed everyplace, coral gables, downtown, etc. no batches the last 3 weeks

It may sound ridiculous, but the other day, pretty sure it was Saturday, the app was telling me there were "no batches available" during a time when its usually booming in this area...I figured a quick power cycle of the ol wireless device might help, so I pressed the power button for a while and clicked again to turn off the device. I didn't wait for more than 5 minutes before powering back up and when I loaded the available batches:. BOOM! There were nearly 10 batches or something were waiting for me. At the bottom was a $72 batch that I clicked and landed. Just saying...

Instacart dude proved the new shoppers get the batches first. I noticed the covid 19 curve is going up.

Not entirely true for everyone. New shopper here and after 3 weeks I finally got one very small batch today, $15. Batches come in and are gone literally in the blink of an eye

Same here. Is asked support about it in the chat and their response was that it’s some new special batch ordering that allows customers to order outside of their zone. The guy claimed that we (the shoppers) will see the increase in money for the distance 🤔. So not true because I see stuff where my location is visually smack dab in the middle of the store and the customer, but the distance from the customer to the store is 26 miles!!!! The job only paid about $34. So when I asked them how is $34 fair for me to drive over 30 miles to complete a batch, and the guy never responded. I gave them a 1 rating. It’s such BS

@@dialmstyle Cool, I wanted to make sure I was tipping the delivery persons enough. I know they bust their butts. I usually buy about 16 to 32 items every week.

Oh thank you sooo much!! We appreciate it! Honestly IC hardly pays a thing for the work we do, so I rely mainly on tips!

There is no longer the option to update zone in the DMV area

I have driven cross country while doing instacart. Selecting a region or zone has zero berring on seeing batches in Any area of this country. That feature was only valid when we signed up for shifts.

Yea but the location you are in has a huge impact. Larger, wealthier cities with tech savvy individuals will have higher demand

@@Gignation absolutely. I have gigged in rural and large cities. You are correct. I was just saying that updating the instacart app on your regions has no influence on where you get offers. The app is on it is tracking your location. Sometimes if on a road trip it is advisable to force close your app to make sure the location is accurate. So much of what uses to apply is gone now in pandemic days. Whole different ball of wax

@@Gignation my ditch is exact opposite. I am making way more here in rural Oregon during pandemic than I was in san Francisco. I drive further distance but it pays in mileage and I am also driving in dome beautiful country roads. I pulled $1640 last week between instacart and grubhub and I live in a town of 50k people....

Monday? Lol... I've done 1 today at 9:30am And that's it .. My ratings are excellent, and I even have written comments about how amazing I am... I can't get anything but 1 , aside from that they flash on the screen , and even those are 20 miles away..whatever, ridiculous

According to TechCrunch, if I understood correctly, the bots are only charging 25 or 35 dollars a week to get hours. If I can get 50 dollar plus orders, I'll pay them. Here at Costco, orders over 100bucks are not uncommon, if you can get them. Please publish the names of some of these bots.

My batches are NOT local...all are at least 30 minutes to 1 hour away... HELP

Gigshield was fast and very professional

But I am not even seeing the Batches. I haven’t had anything in over a week so I signed up with Shipt and seems to work better.

They just updated that to feed you other zones if your zone is not busy

How do I select more than one zones

I'd like to be a Bot Baby. Where do I sign up? Even if I'm deactivated for it, that can't be any worse than it is now, which is basically nothing. Being an Ubet/Lyft driver for 4 years I can see that the IC app engineers have a long way to go to towards making their app better. SMH, don't understand why there so many things in the app that need to be improved.
