    My instacart delivery person asked if I wanted to add toilet paper and paper towels when she saw them in store... I immediately said yes. They were not shown as available. Definitely appreciated that. Gave an extra cash tip.

    1. You absolutely answered my query to how this works. Although I'd be the grocery recipient. Need to know. 2. YAY! Cold separated from the other things! I always have to ask even though I split them up. Get those cold items in the fridge/freezer asap! 3. Bread or similar items on top. How difficult to have the common sense. That & a pie placed in a bag on its side instead of facing upward! Thanks for the sharing. I'd much rather do what you're doing than being the recipient. NEVER take your physical health for granted. 🍃🕊🍃

    I find that young people living in crappy studio apartments pay better than the boomer generation living in mansions. At least that’s the experience I’ve had here in Boston. Some people are not willing to give a good tip no matter how long they make you wait or how much work you put in to getting them the best order. Just because they can afford it doesn’t mean they’ll be kind enough to give it to you. I got a $4 tip in large order and drove 20 minutes and had to wait another 10 minute for the customer to get to the door. This was a mansion btw.

    Dope tip on waiting to put the ties on produce until ur in line. Another thing i jus started doing is if i see a bunch of produce items, i grab a bunch of the plastic produce bags and get all of them opened up, put them in the cart and THEN start grabbing produce. This way i dont have to keep stopping to open up the bags. That shit is a pain in the ass when you have gloves on

    Hey Reezy, Brad here. I used to do rideshare with the usual suspects until the virus wiped that game out in my area. My background check for Instacart was approved just now and I’m planning to go out and get in the groove with it tomorrow morning. Looking forward to being on the go. I did all the training content Instacart provides and been binging on your content, which is better. Practical and makes good sense. I’ll put what you shared to good use. Whatever I’m doing my goal is to deliver value. It pays back most of the time and keeps me in a positive frame of mind. Keep the videos coming.

    Been watching alot of instacart videos and this video definitely gives some of the best advice. With that said, $350 a day is not realistic except for maybe California and even that's a stretch. I think for the majority of people doing this full time $100+ a day is a solid goal. I try to make at least $100 a day but factor in gas, taxes, and maintenance so really try to bring in $120-$130 a day.

    I am kinda new to this but I want to give you few tips I have learned from my shopping experience,dont pick order with lot of meat in it,because if customer requests 5lb beef,it will take lot of time to find what customer requests.Remember every minute of your time is money.And if there are lot of produce items,pick that one.They are easy to find and usually employee is in the produce section if you need help with something to find.And deli items can be pain in the AZ to find.if you can find order without deli items,pick that one.And also pick order with less items even if it pays less.My favorite store to shop is Costco or bj.Even though store is big,lot if items can be easily found..These are just few tips that can help you to shop faster.Remember every minute of your time is money,and your goal is to complete order soon as possible.If you are new like me,dont pick big orders,pick order with less items until you learn the store where items are.And get the orders from costco,bj and target.Target is good,because there are few grocery aisles and you can finish your shopping faster.

    Yeah I just started this past Friday 8-12-22 and have done 9 orders so far and have made 133...I haven't done any straight for xxxx amt of hours just here and there but as of now customers have 1 day to increase tip and 2hr to decrease which I think is good although it is kinda shady to me that they can decrease it since we're basically footing the gas as a courtesy and I'm in a rural area

    I make a note of the addresses that don’t tip just because they can and I don’t take their orders. And I’ve also had two customers that said they never got their order after I handed it to them. This is a trick so you don’t get to take a pic. I’m assuming IC is tracking these dishonest people.

    Great vids man. Added tip: Idk what it's like elsewhere, but here in LA Sprouts is pretty horrible about the social distancing and letting a certain # of shoppers into the store at a time. I just started doing this last week and I love it! I'm not much of a shopper but I will do it when someone is paying me. I don't make that much in our area - typically anywhere between 15-25 per order. For example, I have an Albertsons next door to my house and the app wants to route me 10 miles away to another Albertsons, then drop off to the customer a few miles from my current location. Can I go to the Albertsons by my house or do I have to go to the one in the app?

    Jason sometimes you can go to a different Albertsons, but beware, because not all stores are linked with instacart. That being said, one way to find out if that store works with instacart is if you see them pop up on your app on a different order

    I also see orders that are one or two towns over, but that’s no more than 10 miles away, I think when the order volume is low, it shows you those to try and give you something. Its a feature, not a bug. If you don’t want to do them, don’t do them 🤷‍♂️?

    Interesting video. As an Instacart customer, I'm glad to see you can make money doing this service. I'd probably be doing it myself if I had a car. Good advice to Shoppers about getting meat and frozen stuff last - this is one of my pet peeves, seeing my shopper grab frozen stuff like ice-cream first. One frustrating thing I see with Instacart and others like UberEats, and Skip the Dishes - they follow the gps without looking at any written directions on the order. StD's almost always drives into the church parking lot next door to me, then they have to phone me because they can't find me. Or, if they do get the correct driveway, they drive right past the front door where I'm waiting for them, (with a shopping cart), and drive into our back parking lot. One other thing - Shoppers: please check the Expiration dates and grab the freshest available. I recently got an item that was 6 months past it's date, and quite a bit of dairy & bread that only has a few days left. On my last delivery, as I emptied the bags, I found a 3X5 card with a note from my shopper thanking me for the order. I was very touched by this, and I still have the card. Well done!

  • @ReezyResells

    @ReezyResells

    3 жыл бұрын

    The thank you card idea is very genius unfortunately the location thing is a function of the way the apps utilize the mapping systems in the phone they all need to add a feature for customers that continually have problems with drivers not being able to find them that would supersede the pin location or force the pin to your actual location. None of the apps do this but as a customer you should be able to see the point on the map where the driver is going to and not just put your address in and hope the mapping system has the pain in the right place

    I've been doing instacart since July of 2019. It's a really good concept but recently I notice that they are not paying people right for the number of items and driving. For example, I was looking through the batch list and notice a batch where there were 3 full-service orders all in one and 25 miles of driving to deliver the groceries to 3 different places and Instacart only charge 21 dollars. That is very little at paying especially when you have to shop for 3 people, ring it up, bag it up, and you have to drive 25 miles to deliver the groceries to 3 different houses. In this pandemic, they should pay more especially in Multi order batches. I had a batch where the customer had 300 ITEMS and it was a 14-mile drive. Her whole total came out to 1032 and I had 3 carts full of groceries. Instacart only charged me 50 dollars for the amount of heavy lifting, bagging the order, and also bringing all those groceries by myself to their door. The amount is too little for the amount of work we are doing in this pandemic. It's a good money maker but you are getting more customers than usual so I understand multi-order batches and big batches coming through but you need to pay right for the amount of mileage you need to drive and the number of items there is.
