Love how Stellaris updates provide game breaking features as a bonus
The one small thing that I think is fascinating about space fauna as ships is that it actually gives you another use for food. I wish there were other things besides that as it's the least interesting resource so far, imo.

Organic processing (which is meta) makes food WAYY more useful than minerals. Basically replaces minerals with food for alloys. Flat 50% alloy increase and no decrease in pop efficiency

@@D.O.P.E.101 Yeah, I'm not saying it can't be useful. Just that it's not very interesting.

I agree food suffers from the fact that it's the only resource you don't spend. It's a difficult one tho cuz thematically food isn't really something you make things out off. I think there's a couple things that can be done to fix this, firstly there should be a happinessbonus for having say, ten, times your montly food upkeep stockpiled at least for non-gestalt empires, as it's kinda wacky having your entire massive space empire being on the brink of famine being the optimal situation. More importantly I think food needs to be worth more than energy, just buying food should not be an efficient option (they'd have to nerf hydroponics bays for this tho) in fact subsidsing your energy upkeep with food should be a viable option (never completly optimal as technicians should always be as or more efficient than farmers and you'd be paying market fees selling the food). That way you introduce decision making back to food production and it becomes something you weigh and balance more as opposed to an inefficiency you need to minimise. Edit: even cooler idea, you get 20 crime on all planets if you don't mantain a suitable food stockpile, now that's a very manageable amount of crime, you need one enforcer to combat that BUT that's one enforcer you wouldn't ordinarily need so it gives you a nice little gameplay (and roleplay) decision.

You are in luck ... if you have any friendly neighbors they often are willing to buy food for orher stuff at favorable rates. Not sure if this applies to late game but at least for the first 85 years I've been getting CG, minerals, energy & some alloys at very good rates from multiple friendly entities (3.10 on commodore difficulty).
When it's just 3 Amoebas at the start... Where does the Admiral sit?

Perfectly balanced game with no exploits. Come with cheese!
Why have a behemoth from here be dragons origin when you get to have battalion of space whales instead. Come to think of it could be a interesting challenge to never craft military spaceship
This empire is like if the White Walkers founded PETA.
powered by cheese, lol
I personally like making vassals and integrating them later with more vassals farther away from me
I have watched 30 seconds but this looks like a banger.
I think if you play this origin as intended it can be pretty nice and chill, but I would certainly suggest hunting a fleet or two of Tiyanki for an infusion of energy to propagate your seeded colonies faster. Hunting down two lured fleets would be enough to launch a colony while running a positive energy income. The upside to this origin is that it can let you expand your borders much further than you should be able to without taxing your influence as hard. If you find the Lost Amoeba (Euka) early enough then you can specifically target planets to forward settle.

imagine being an alien empire thinking that its nice that the hive would send its cute space amoeba pet to parade its systems

But once you attack tiyanki you're permanently at war with all tiyankis, meaning you severely reduce the natural seed spread and have to micro it with undead seed spreaders O_o

@@letsplaysvonaja1714 No you're not. Once you kill any Tiyanki in your borders and get the "Tiyanki Butchered" event they turn passive again. Just have to pick the right time for a bit of slaughter.
Ahh.... This was the first thing I was thinking of doing when I saw the new origin. Have not had the chance to test it out for myself yet. Simply have not had the time to play. But good to see someone tested it.
The fact you have to click multiple times to attacks the Tiyankies is not a bug, it's part of choosing friendly firsts contacts. By having it, the player shouldn't be able to attact neutral entities but you still can by spamming
Great video as always!!
One of my most fun Stellaris playthroughs was playing cordeceptic drones with terravore of all things. Got Tiyana Vek before year 20, built the respawns station, and spend the rest of the game frantically trying to keep up with he ever increasing food upkeep. How? Purging all the organic pops as livestock, of course!
Fruitful partnership just became parasitic
This is the earliest I've ever clicked on a video
I didn't know the average Stellaris enjoyer was so handsome! If only i could bare witness in a slightly higher frame rate hehe
Great video ! Keep up with the good work ! By the way i'm really questionning wether it really changes anything to put more than one envoy on the "improve relation" task ? In my last games I didn't see any substantial changes because of that ? Does it work for real ??
Soooo… Tyranids(Warhammer 40k)
If you would like some extra cheese with your cheese. You can take idyllic bloom and use the exotic gases you get from killing tiyanki to upgrade the gaia seeders very quickly. No, I didnt come up with this. Just passing the information to inquiring minds.
Cheese! So you can do all space fauna? Nice
Wouldn't going devouring swarm or designating conquered people as livestock be a more thematic and better take on this build because it would outright solve the food issues, as well as fit the theme of killing and resurrecting space fauna to use as fleets of domination against the galaxy?
Of course, you're powered by cheese In the Milky Way
when eveer i try this i Lose my starting army even tho i do the same tried multiple times yet i never manage to get that 1k fleet after i always gets a 200 fleet
