You can shower but you cant wash your hair. No water should touch your hair after a perm during the 2/3 days relaxing period.

Nhey Carreon its depends on how thin or thick u section the hair how much piece of hair u choose to put into a rod just get a decent amount of perm rods that will be enough for your head

TrillRock a perm is permanent, the hair hit with the solution will be curly forever. You will have to cut it off when you no longer want the curly hair. Obviously it only affect the hair hit with the solution, so when your hair begins to grow out again you will need to get another one when it gets long / really noticeable. Its best to get it done when you have longer hair, so that you dont need to redo it too often. Because short hair makes it easy to see the curly parts and the natural hair parts (when it grows back). With longer hair you can kind of hide the new-growth from showing

How did you dye the hair? I thought you couldn’t bleach or dye permed hair?

I’ve gotten perms like 4 times but although I want my hair this curly it came out less curly. I’m pretty sure it’s because the size of the rod you use so where can I get the rods you use and if I use those will my hair come out as curly? Thanks

Can someone please help me out? I have grown my fringe to the middle of my nose (it’s wavy so it bends into my eye so I have to pull it down) and it’s about 4 inches. I am worried about the sides and top of the scalp. The sides are about 1 and half inches but I’m worried that it’s too short to perm (I’m getting shaved sides just above the shaved bit). I’m not sure about the scalp since it’s about 3 inches. Is this good enough to perm (I’m using red rods to give it quite a curly curl but not super curly like Afro hair)?
