Most visa applications require evidence of English at the time the visa is lodged and if your'e not sure better to have it when you lodge. For most purposes English tests are valid for 3 years. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel

As your mother is not regarded as a member of your family unit according to immigration rules, she cannot obtain a 485 visa. However of course she could apply for a tourist visa when the boarders open again. Thanks for watching and supporting this channel

If you have already completed your study in Australia then you can apply for 485 without bothering about what you studied and what you want to do. The only problem you will have is when you apply for skills assessments.

I am currently applying for 485 visa, however they are asking for end date of an ovhc cover, but as the visitor cover i have applied for is a monthly basis and generally for any ovhc they don't provide an end date, Thus am not sure as to what to enter as the end date of ovhc in the application.

you should already have your PTE/IELTS score valid if you completed your degree recently as those scores are valid for 3 years. You require an overall score of at least 50 with a minimum score of 36 for each of the 4 parts in PTE.

Yuki the Grad dip is too low to use for the Post Study Work Stream of the 485 visa so if you exit with it you will need to use the Graduate stream of the 485 visa and apply for the preliminary skill assessment as well since it is on the 189 visa list. It is considered only if you hold a student visa while that study is being undertaken. There is no percentage limit we are aware of of how much of the online can be used towards applying for the 485 visa.

Do we have to study at least for 2 years to apply for Post study work steam? The masters program in UTAS I'm interested in is only 1.5 years

Aprue the GWS of the 485 visa requires a positive skill assessment at least for the 485 visa purpose. It does not matter where the qualification is from to obtain that assessment as long as the course or courses done in Australia are closely related to your nominated occupation. Hey Karl, I've been doing some digging but I cannot find any specific examples of my case. I am an international student whom graduated with a master's just prior to the border closures. However, unfortunately I departed Australia for a 1 month holiday just before Covid hit, and resultingly became stuck overseas, and did not apply for the 485. As we know the borders remained shut for a long time; first the Australian borders, and then subsequently the Chinese borders. When the borders finally did open, I had ended up in a difficult financial situation and was unable to apply for the Visa, let alone return to AU. I've finally gotten to a spot where I can consider returning to AU, but suspect it's far too late. I know the basic requirements detail "within 6 months", however largely due to the border there was no other option. Is it possible that I could still be eligible for the 485, or would there be another reasonable visa option that I could go for? Could I ask for your advice on this?

So sorry to hear this. These days the outlook for treatments are much better and once it is in remission the cost to the community is small. You could have trouble if you don't apply for your graduate visa as it would be difficult to argue the next course is closely related to your nominated occupation. I just have one question, why would you wanna do that? my best guess is to claim points for study in a regional area afterwards. My advice for that is to enrol in face 2 face learning as govt can change the rules anytime.

My Subclass 500 visa expired on March 2021. Can I still apply for 485 visa? I'm offshore. My course completed in December 2020

what about those students not eligible for 485 visa after completing a master degree . ( first student visa granted before 2011). Had never applied 485 visa before. I have obtained a 485 visa after graduating master's n traveled overseas due to family issues and due to coivd borders being closed I'm unable to travel Australia will I be getting an extension on my 485 visa due to covid pandemic. I have wasted 14months of my visa due to lockdown.

Hi sir, during my study I extend my student visa and apply for extension visa from that day I am on bridging A visa. It’s been more then 1 year. In this mean time immigration ask me medical but I am unable to do medical due to lockdown and cancelled my medical appointment jut before 2 days of my appointment. During this period I finished my course but still holding bridging A visa. I heard I can’t apply 485 visa because I am on bridging A visa more then 6 months. Can you suggest me proper path. You can still apply for the 485 visa whilst holding a BVA. When you have your completion letter apply as soon as you can. Thanks for watching and supporting this channel

Videos are amazing n all n m sure u have a lot of knowledge n stuff... but why are you so expensive.. $165 for a phone consultation and that is only for 30 minutes.. I mean some people are actually less fortunate to have to spend that money on "advice"!... Especially at this covid time international student need NEED help.
