Currently, I’m studying Masters (Electrical and renewable energy specialisation) in Geelong,Victoria. My question is, will I get a positive skill assessment from Engineers Australia for Electrical discipline? For information, my bachelors degree had only few Electrical units. Thanks in advance Manoj

Thank you for this video, very helpful! So, for South Australia the 26 major group positions will be considered as closely related? For general immigration law, the only 2 positions of business analysts will be considered as related?

I have done masters in nursing and i have applied under the caregory of VET and skills assessment done by VETASSESS and it states that ur profession is highly relevant

You need specific skill assessments to meet these state requirements. That will answer your question for you if you can meet the criteria for a particular occupation. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel

Hi Carl, Glad to find your informative video... I need a little clarity. For an applicant who got ACS for 262113, can he/she apply EOi for 262112/262111. Can it be taken as closely related occupation?

Thank you for the feed back. For the EOI process you can only nominate the occupation you have the skill assessment for. Claiming work experience points for closely related work experience is a different issue. Thanks for watching and supporting this channel

Tasmania take a flexible approach to work experience component of their state sponsorship requirements. Work experience anyway does not have to be in your nominated occupation. Thanks for watching and supporting this channel. Sorry for the delay in replying

What happens if I'm on a cook visa and want to apply for 491 in chef ? Is skill assessment for chef is required? And after the skill assessment, will I be eligible for chef category? I've done my certificate IV in commercial cookery via RPL?

491 requires the skill assessment in the nominated occupation Subash. Chect with TRA for the requirements for a Chef. Thanks for watching

Hi I already lodged my EOI for 190 visa. I only claimed for the points as declared by the VETASSESS which is 4.++ points and 1 yr was deducted. My work experience in 312111 is actually 10 yrs plus but I did not have the documentary evidences uploaded while I submit for VETASSESS because I cannot get it from my previous employer. Can I still claim for the points for closely related skill for the yrs that was not assessed by SKILLSELECT? Though I have no documentary evidences uploaded to VETASSESS, it was mentioned in the CV I submitted. I would appreciate if you can clarify this. If I can claim for the closely related skill I assume I could claim for 5 more points. Thank you.

hello sir i need to know how long australian immigration take for withdrawal of an application. plz it urgent. if u could help me out in this. and my second question is m an international student studied my 2 trimesters in australia in 2019 and feb 2020 i came to india for my brothers wedding and m stuck here till now. my studiy is not completed as due to covid-10 lockdown i had to defer in march 2020. now the situation is my visa is about to finish next month march 2021 and my extension was not granted yet not even applied due to withdrawal of my file that was longed in starting 2020 with my updated coe after march 2020 defer. now m worried if it might effect my future if my visa expires without extention of my new visa. plz guide me wt can i do. plz sir its really urgent and ur advise could help me a lot. thanx in advance

Under the 189 visa, can you apply for a nominated scarce skill (that is on the 189 list of scare skills) if your skills assessment is in a "Closely related Occupation" ? Using your example in the video, If the scarce skill of the Management Accountant is on 189 list of scarce skills, can I apply for it if my positive skill assessment is for a Taxation Accountant? Or does the "Closely related occupation" only come into considering when looking at eligibility to claim points for work experience?
