Also, would it be fine if you didn't do stats in GCSE in order to go on smoothly with maths in A-levels?

Yeah, and also you would have done some stats in normal gcse maths (such as median, mean, box plots, histograms etc.)

hii!! i've started this like mini summary notebook where i put examples of maths questions both from the textbook and exam questions after i finish a topic. i also add questions that i found difficult or got wrong in the past should i keep doing this or is it just useless? 😭

That's a really good idea! I recommend seeing how you do in topic tests and if you find that you're doing very well, then I'd recommend to continuing going with it.

I’d recommend taking the 4th and then testing to see if it’s worth it for you and if you can manage, that’s how I eventually made a decision about french. Overall, I’d recommend not to take a 4th a level unless you’re unsure between courses and want to keep options open, apart from that, doing a 4th a level isn’t worth the effort that you’d need to put in. But then again, I’d recommend taking it and then dropping it, rather than not taking it and perhaps regretting it later on in the year

Probably this will make me change my mind whether I should do psychology or maths as my 3rd subjects, to pursue dentistry. Im soo confused 😕

im trying to do the same thing. Im going for maths as im really goood at maths. Maths is much easier in general i think, as you are still using gcse skills, in greater depth

@@samnewmarch06 yep in my opinion maths is the better option, as not only is it quite a safe option (it isn't that difficult of an a-level compared to others) but a lot of the stuff you learn in maths is very transferrable, and keeps lots of options open in case you change your mind

Hmm I’m not entirely familiar with the business courses and stuff, so I’d recommend researching and checking university courses and seeing what their subject requirements are if any. FM is usually recommended for any finance related course, let alone normal maths, but once again I’d recommend doing your research to be safe

Hi I am 28 and going to study GCSE Maths. I'm dyslexic and would prefer to primarily use a website that tells me what I should learn. Khan Academy is great for me, but I don't like how it isn't based on the UK curriculum and how they use American words for things. What is the closest thing to Khan Academy in the UK? Free or not free it doesn't matter.

I have 17 days D: honestly my top tip is to do as many mocks as possible, don't leave them all to last minute, just so you have enough time between each mock to improve on your score. Best of luck!!

If you're thinking about doing FM, you might as well take it, then you can drop it if you need. Also, try and think about why you potentially are doing FM. For some courses it's required but if you don't necessarily need to do FM for the course you want to do then it isn't really worth it.

@@KhanRevision bro dont even worry about further maths then, try out gcse further maths if ur school offers - first year of a level is just gcse fm so if you find that not too hard definitely go for further maths, realistically if you're not getting an 8 or 9 in gcse normal for maths dont do a level further maths. and that's with most a levels if you're not on an 8 or 9 (or 7 at a stretch) you will most likely find a level quite challenging. i dropped it after my first year, the concepts are hard but with practise you get better and its actually not all as hard as people make it sound, the main factor is how much time you're willing to give to further maths. and for me, its not worth it to do it for my second year so i decided to drop it, and aim for A* in normal maths inshaAllah

Use Corbett maths flashcards they’re relatively cheap. Also I didn’t use flashcards and I got a straight 9 in maths.

Not at all, you can easily still do great, maths is a subject where you just need to practise the questions and then you instantly see an improvement
