Years ago, I was at a music trade show in Toronto, Canada. My tryout of some new Nord keyboards was interrupted by a tornado of music from my left. Michelangelo Batio played a quad-neck Dean guitar to a prepared progressive metal backing track, ensuring he played every note that exists, blindingly fast. After the show, I continued my exploration of these red keyboards. Suddenly Batio silently walked up beside me and said, "I can play jazz, you know. I just don't tell anyone because I don't want to lose my metal cred, and jazz doesn't pay the bills." His manner was tense. He never blinked. His mind seemed ... elsewhere. He may have been wearing a wig. Before I could respond and as mysteriously as he appeared, he vanished into the crowd. I have kept this terrible secret these many years, and it has torn at my soul like an outdoor cat on new furniture. But no more. This burden I cannot carry any longer. I feel this is the best time and place to lay it down. I hereby alert the internet, on this day, at this time, in this KZread video comments section that MICHELANGELO BATIO CAN PLAY JAZZ. At last, I am free.

@F K yes, because blues was influenced by jazz music. This is not a mystery, this is a fact. Jazz music appears to have started in Europe in the 1880's and probably in Denmark. Blues was a specific product of the 1920's-30's America. It's not my opinion that jazz is older than blues. It's a fact. I find it sickening that people like you want to destroy facts for personal gain.

Once I was in a local guitar store and I saw a beautiful tele hanging up in a wall. I grabbed it, I played and I loved it, but I had only half the money it costed, so i put it back and kept looking. 10 minutes later the guitar felt down. It got a little scrap and the owner was asking me for all the money the guitar costed. But it wasn’t my fault so I wasn’t going to pay him a cent. Luckily for me, the real owner suddenly appeared in the store and suggested me to pay half of the price of the guitar, the store would pay the other half and I would keep the guitar. And that’s how I got my favorite guitar at half price :)

No likes! 0!!...What gives? ...And then I see someone get 732 *likes* for just, like, quoting the guy in the video, word-for-word! ... Aaaargh! Is the world a fart, or am I just not funny?!?!?!?) *My Appreciation Edit:* Thanks for the one "like", person..! 😉👍

They make clones of it? Complete with carving out a slice of an Ibanez Destroyer to make it look cooler, and ruining the sustain, and then trying to fix it with those tension rods? Is that the original maybe? It looked too new.

I can't believe that I watched the whole video thinking there was really a way to get a free guitar. When my mom was diagnosed with alzheimers I took early retirement to care for her because she had me promise years ago that I would never put her in a nursing home ( be careful what you promise). Long story short, sold everything that I had for us to live, car, boat, motorcycle, motor home, and my guitars. Lost the house, mom passed and if it wasn't for my sister I'd be homeless. Now out of all that was sold or taken I miss not being able to play my guitar most , so here I am watching s**t like this hoping it was real. I'll get another one someday and if I have to sell it to help someone I'll do it again. Lol, guess I'll never learn.

I hate that ideology. Real Epiphones are super expensive. My 66 Casino and my Texan are over $7,000 each. People think Epi’s are cheap Gibson’s but the truth is Epi came before Gibson and were high quality instruments when they were made in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Even the cheap Chinese Casinos are good guitars with the right set up. Gibson’s now are shit and ridiculously overpriced.

Slick Tiger Yep. with Gibson, you’re paying for the name. Another guitar built just the same, by a small company, goes for way less. Fender started falling into this trap about 20 years ago and dug themselves out of it. A newer Mexican Tele is better than American Teles from a certain period.

4840 hB.t AO I spent a few days at the Nashville Gibson plant, a few years ago, shooting a documentary and got to see every little detail in the build process. QC is VERY high! The Gibson’s are built to very high standards. That being said, I have seen and played some very nice Eli’s! Very nice. The folks at Gibson didn’t even watt talk about Epi’s, except to say that they exist. The Epi’s I have seen and played were EXCELLENT guitars! Very well built and much more affordable than the Gibsons.

@@jackdempsey9644 You're kinda right. Modern Epiphones essentially are cheap Gibsons. And while the Epiphone company itself is older than Gibson, Gibson was making guitars well before epiphone ever did. Also, the Epiphones made in Kalamazoo were all post Gibson buyout.
