Thank you gor this video. I've been dealing with, evidently, the same pain in my right rhomboid. Happened while performing a rock climbing move called a gaston. I did the same test as her in the vid, and could only lift my arm up slightly off the floor in pain. Rolled my right rhomboid with a ball for 2 minutes and did the same test and it completely released. First time not feeling pain in this way in about 14 months. So now i'm working on not engaging my rhomboids and focusing on strengthing all of my external rotators. So thank you so much! I can build upon this.
I don’t know if I have overworked rhomboids or weak rhomboids. But I have issues back there. I need to see this man.

Thanks bro now I know why my rhomboid hurts, also learned what a rhomboid is. Good stuff
I went to a chiropractor today for exactly the same issue. I only received massages and told it was over worked and needs to take a break from heavy maxing for a week or two. No long term solutions was discussed at all. Wish i would visit Squat University instead!

I appreciate the offers for a solution. My physical therapist thinks when I was rolling it a disc was bulging slightly and I touched it or pushed it into the nerve causing my issue.
This channel is a straight up goldmine I swear!!!
I have this exact issue but it's been harder to correct because of severe upper cross syndrome. it's been slowly getting better as i lengthen my pecs and learn to feel my back more, but it's nice to finally see. at one point it got so bad it was putting pressure on a nerve and i had numbess in a couple fingers.

I started doing face pulls after experiencing left shoulder pain. I knew it was weakness because I couldn’t “pour the can” with my arms extended in front without pain or shrugging my left shoulder to compensate. I didn’t know why the pain wasn’t subsiding. This gives me a different perspective of what to do. Thank you.

Genius. I stock shelves and was wondering why I couldn't get rid of right side rhomboid pain even though I focused on retracting my shoulder blades

I’ve had brain surgery a year ago and since then, I’ve always had this big knot in my shoulder, making me unable to lift my arm like how I used to. I’m going to definitely try this!
He is a GURU
I don’t have problems at the gym but at work. I was in a production warehouse where sometimes I get a bad pinching pain like a badly knitted muscle or pinched nerve underneath my left shoulder blade. Generally is caused when I am tasked with a position where I have to keep my arm elevated and stationary. For example last time it hurt I was placing small stickers on boxes as they went by on a conveyer. I held the strip of stickers up in my left hand while picking them off and placing them with my right. Turning 90* counterclockwise for some reason helped the relief the pain
Man this is some crazy good stuff i want to learn more about this

Very helpfull video thankyou sir
Wouldn't mind a lengthier version w more explanation ty
This video is for me, it's like Mirabai and I have all the same issues. "Not retracting the shoulderblade excessively.." Now that is a tricky thing for me to understand
Love this been having some rear shoulder pain like a pinch do you have any videos for that it’s located near the middle of my spine right as the base end of scapula
Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant!!!!
Bro not one video on internet explained my pain like u did here
thanks saved some videos will give them a go xx
Just get on the row machine and switch from pulling the cable toward your upper chest then to your abs. No need to do all this band work. A regular high intensity 2000 meter row solves all these issues. If you get in the habit of doing it every time you work out.

This is all 100. I do this when I workout after high intensity workout training and this has been my mechanics recently.
Makes sense to me . I’ll give it a try. Thanks
This is EXACTLY what is going with me. Idk if it’s from a prior rotator cuff injury or what. I feel like along with an ultra-tight rhomboid on my right side is a slightly winged scap. I notice my pec minor on the same side is weak as well. So my right shoulder is essentially being pulled back too much and I lack the strength to protract on that side as well as to get a full, pain-free elbow extension.
Loved that t-shirt design of Mirabai! 🇮🇳🚩

can you show the full motion on the 2nd exercise? this is so saddening
I have so many trigger points around my shoulders that cause numbness could you show more stuff like this? It's the first time I've heard you talk about trigger points.
The muscle graphics are great
Mirabai! ❤❤❤❤
I have the exact same problem... Thnx
I have annoyingly frequent rhomboid spasms and a generally poor and spiteful relationship with those bad boys. Thanks to this video, I realized that externally rotating my shouldes as shown was almost entirely mobilized through rhomboid recruitment. Even the shoulder exercises I've been doing in the gym have been wrong. Thanks, SquatU!
Mirabai Chanu.. our pride.

What type of doctor and where should I go for a rhomboid evaluation? I have constant dull pain on my left side close to spine. Went to chiropractor, x ray and adjustment, but they found no issue. I started weight training to strengthen my back, which helps but I am still dealing with it :/

I just developed extreme pain under my left shoulder blade. I think it's a pinched nerve. I can barely look up or reach with my left arm. Isn't constant only when I move or use it. Very painful!
Damm, she looks very professional
Do you do online consultations or in person? I have issues with either my rotator cuff, rhomboids or something I’m not sure what the problem is. I currently can’t workout out much and wish I could get back to lifting. I’ve been to PT but it didn’t help much. I would mean the world to get back into the gym with no pain.
Oh???? This may explain my own issues... Will definitely give a try cause i know over a year ago I always retracted my scaps with my lifts. My rotator cuff muscles are strong but yeah, not activating/coordinating properly could be it :o (trigger pain in my rhomboid kills me daily)
That back😱
I need someone like you to help me with multiple issues. Anyone know someone in Mississauga?
My rhomboids have been getting so tight I haven't been able to rotate my thoracic spine. I thought that it was rhomboid weakness that caused the tightness, now I know I have been doing the wrong rehab exercises. Gonna try these for a while. I am a pitcher btw so rhomboid tightness becomes a massive issue fast.
