Thank you gor this video. I've been dealing with, evidently, the same pain in my right rhomboid. Happened while performing a rock climbing move called a gaston. I did the same test as her in the vid, and could only lift my arm up slightly off the floor in pain. Rolled my right rhomboid with a ball for 2 minutes and did the same test and it completely released. First time not feeling pain in this way in about 14 months. So now i'm working on not engaging my rhomboids and focusing on strengthing all of my external rotators. So thank you so much! I can build upon this.

I don’t have problems at the gym but at work. I was in a production warehouse where sometimes I get a bad pinching pain like a badly knitted muscle or pinched nerve underneath my left shoulder blade. Generally is caused when I am tasked with a position where I have to keep my arm elevated and stationary. For example last time it hurt I was placing small stickers on boxes as they went by on a conveyer. I held the strip of stickers up in my left hand while picking them off and placing them with my right. Turning 90* counterclockwise for some reason helped the relief the pain

This is EXACTLY what is going with me. Idk if it’s from a prior rotator cuff injury or what. I feel like along with an ultra-tight rhomboid on my right side is a slightly winged scap. I notice my pec minor on the same side is weak as well. So my right shoulder is essentially being pulled back too much and I lack the strength to protract on that side as well as to get a full, pain-free elbow extension.

My rhomboids have been getting so tight I haven't been able to rotate my thoracic spine. I thought that it was rhomboid weakness that caused the tightness, now I know I have been doing the wrong rehab exercises. Gonna try these for a while. I am a pitcher btw so rhomboid tightness becomes a massive issue fast.
