Thank you so much for posting this video! I was able to resolve my SU 42118-6 error by replacing a blown F2602. F2602 and F2601 are on two little islands next to each other - F2602 is the one on the left when the board is aligned so that the text is properly oriented. When probing the fuses, you may need to apply a careful bit of force to get through the coating/oxidation layer on either side. At first everything was reading OL (open line / no connection / blown fuse) but when I pressed a bit harder I was able to verify that every marked fuse but the F2602 was good.

I have a ps4 on system 7.51, but it is deleted a system from a hard disk. When trying to install it, I get an error su 42118 from a reader board, I thought to install from another ps4 that is on the same system and then put it back in my ps4. Does this method work?I just want to hack it on that system

If I can't find the fuse, can I just bypass it?

Im crying so hard right now I have watched 5 different videos and they said I have to either replace the mother board or the whole playstation

How do I get to the fuse I will do anything to fix my playstation I love it so much

Hope you can help! I've tested all fuses and get continuity on all fuses board SAD-001 no activity on bd drive Changed to new be drive and new cables. No activity. Same error when updating. Any thing else I can try?

I can't do all this im only a child and my mum do sent know anything about teh

I had this exact problem, i disassembled my ps4 and checked the fuses. At first all seemed broken. I scratched the soldering of them very gently and I got contact with my multimeter, now it all works, disc drive and updating. Just make sure u are really careful doing this. Fuses were not broken, probably the soldering that had went bad. You are trying this at your own risk.
