Oh, my goodness! Two nights before Thanksgiving, I ran the self-clran cycle for my Frigidaire Gallery oven. When I got up, the stove was beeping and had an F10 error code. I pulled it out and unplugged it, hoping the error code would clear. And when I plugged it back in, the error code was gone!! Later that day - Wednesday - my sister came to my house to bake pies. We preheated the oven, and she put in the pecan pie. Fewer than 10 minutes later, the stove starts beeping and showing the F10 error again! Pulled it out and unplugged it. Looked at the pie and it was CHARRED. So I hit Google and found your video. Then I went over to Amazon and ordered the thermostat and paid for rush shipping - this is the day before Thanksgiving, after all. It was supposed to arrive overnight and by 11:30 am it still had not been delivered. We needed a new plan so my sister went to the grocery store and purchased a large convection oven and we were going to use that! Within the hour, the thermostat arrived! I pulled out the range, unplugged it, switched out the thermostat, plugged it in and tested it. Eureka! It fired right up! I plugged it again, put the back panel on, plugged it in and waited about 20 minutes to make sure all was well and it was.Thanksgiving was saved! I cannot thank you enough for this clear and concise video. You saved Thanksgiving!

Can we still use the gas stove for cooking (not the oven that’s not working) by plugging electric switch or manual starter?

One very important thing they don't tell you: turn the power off and on and as in my case, the error message will go away. I was broiling a store bought garlic bread loaf in my oven and it caught fire. After I pulled the flaming bread out I had an F10 error message. I checked the the temp sensor and wire for continuity and they were fine. When I disconnected the wire harness from the panel and plugged it back in, everything returned to normal. Always try the easy things first.

Did you say anything below 11k is bad???

My Frigidaire oven came with a manual, including the RTD scale for the sensor. At room temperature (75 F/24 C), resistance should be 1091 Ohms. Another video claimed that a reading below 1000 or above 1200 at room temperature would indicate a faulty sensor.

@@martinliehs2513 You are correct from what I've seen, too. My manual also has a similar table which lists 32F = 1000 ohms (1k ohms). 75F = 1091 Ohms (1.091K ohms). This video says 11K when he probably means 1.1K. He also says 11 Ohms soon after that- so he's mixing units up and it could be pretty confusing. He also calls the temperature sensor/probe the "temperature controller" which could be confusing for folks. Most people will call the electronic oven control board the controller. This is the printed circuit board that the temperature sensor connects to.

Can you remove and replace without opening the panel? Seems like you could pull that connector through maybe?

@@DIYRepairsNow getting an F10 on mine right now. I'm guessing it is the control board, but I'm going to take the 30 dollar gamble on the probe.

As an update the answer is no. The screws to remove the TC are accessed from the back of the stove. FYI my F10 was due to an oven relay board blowing a resistor R2. I found a website that said it was a 220ohm resistor so I put one in. Working again so far.

I just changed the thermostat and the oven is heating up to temp but at 350 but if I wait like 10 minutes and set it to 450 the oven is already up to temperature so what else could the issue be?
