Thanks for the feedback. Ive seen many of these broken this way and it seems really common , I figured this was a good cheap way of repairing it without a total replacement. In most cases the bumper is in perfect condition except for being broken loose by running up on a curb . The plastic welds work really well if the surface is prepped properly , it will create a stronger bond than the bumper itself . Thank you for watching

Thanks for this. I had found a video on how to remove it, but not on how to re-install. Yesterday, I went to the pull-a-part near me and luckily they had a 2007 cruiser in the right color! I pulled the bumper, fog lights, and the foam piece on the inside and they charged me $102 for those parts! the bumper is a little scratched-up on the bottom, but for a car of this age it's about function, not looks.

Thanks.. I'm trying keep my '07 PT (same color) on the road. Now I need to scrounge for good angled plastic scraps. My first thought was use Flex Seal tape on the backside.

Nice job, nice video, very nice instructions, but you can go to PULL A PART ( it's a National junkyard, look it up on the Internet) the replacement bumper cost approximately $54.

Thank you so much.. My 2004 has same issue..I traveled over 100 miles. The next day pulling PT out of carport, I heard a thump.. MY WHOLE FRONT BUMPER FELL OFF!... I'm very lucky it didn't fall off on the road..Could have been a dangerous outcome.. Now I Kno what to do👍

Yes , these epoxy seem to hold up pretty good. I have always been too scared to try a plastic welder , and wind up ruining the bumper. There is an epoxy called Lord Fusor , they have on Amazon . Suppose to be one of the strongest , however it is around 25 per cartridge and another 25 for the dispensing gun. Anyways thank you for the feedback.

What size bolts and clips do you need to put on a new bumper for my 2007 pt cruiser?? I have the new bumper but don't know what to secure it with :) thanks

05288791AA - MOPAR Retainer. Fascia. Fascia to fender att, fascia to fender attach | Factory Chrysler Parts, Bartow FL www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/RETAINER-Fascia-Fascia-to-Fender-Att--Fascia-to-Fender-Attach/4363533/05288791AA.html This is the main part that fastens or retains the bumper on the sides. I don't recall the 10mm nut size, you would take it to the hardware , lowes tractor supply and find the 4 nuts that fit. The other part slides under 2 plastic nubs for lack of a better word located on each sode by the lights. Other than that small course thread screws fasten the sides located under the hood. To make things simple any screw or bolt you can fit will work , for either fastening the top or the sides. Self drilling screws come in handy. For the part I sent a link for , you could substitute 2 m8 or equivalant sized bolts on each side using washers. Anyways wish I could be more help and thanks for watching.

They have loaner tools at auto zone . Or maybe find a cheap 1/4 inch drive socket kit for 10 or 15 dollars. You really need a small ratchet or 1/4 inch drive screw driver type . In my use the( plastic weld ) works best they have many types. Its equally important to make the surface you are gluing rough w sand paper etc . Makes for a better bond. If you dont have clamps the bond will take 5 minutes of holding . Use gloves also. Best of luck and thanks for watching

I believe last time I had to get vice grips to hold and remove them. Also have had to cut them off . Once those studs break loose they are useless. I just bolted it back by getting creative with some anti rotation bolt/tab. Thanks for watching.

I've got the exact break in my bumper, thanks for putting this up! I don't have access to spare plastic to cut into a brace like that however. Any other ideas as to what I could use instead? I've looked all around home Depot for a substitute

I really cannot think of anything that would be compareable. You might grab a inner fender liner or something from a salvage yard. I know about the only material I have used has been from old liners and under dirt sheilds etc like the part that covers the crank and belts . A thin piece of angled metal may work but youd just need a different type of epoxy for bonding metal to plastic. I know those plastic outlet boxes are pretty tough but not quite sure how it would hold up. Wish I could be more help and thank you for watching.
