How to fit new gear knob and gaiter to Honda Civic FN2 Type R

In this episode i get rid of the tatty looking oem gear gaiter in the Honda Civic FN2 Type R and fit a new suede one along with a carbon fibre Mugen gear knob.
It was quite easy to fit but a little more complicated in comparison to other gear gaiters i have fitted in the past.
The tools you need are:
Flat head screw driver
Phillips screw driver
14mm open ended spanner
Staple gun
Here's the links to both products.

Suede Gear gaiter: ebay.to/2Nnyfl6

Thanks for watching guys, i will eventually get around to some more engine mods and work towards getting it mapped properly but just trying to sort all the little niggles first.

Thank you SO much from this video. I just bought one week ago a 2010 Civic Type R ( my first R ever ). And it also had worn out fabric. I like how that fabric looks like, the one you're using. I still decided to order an original one from local Honda dealer. That costed 91€. But thanks to this video, and you, I was able to get it very easilly, safely, and not scratching or breaking anything from cockpit. I didn't even know that that flap open that easy with those clips ( had 5 door 2010 Honda civic for 10 years and didn'n know it. I used to take always the whole middle console out in one peace. :( ) Saved ALOT of time and nerves. I like that you so carefully explain every little detail, so the installation process was very enjoyable, as it always should, when you're tuning or fixing your lovely Honda. Now the new gear gaiter is in place, shining as a new one. And if/when it worns out, I might install the same fabric what you chose. Since now I have a intact package ( from the original gaiter, one clip had broken, from where you seal it to the knob, from upper part. ) I really appreciate this video, and A.W.E.S.O.M.E. joy filled me when I got my own process done with only 15 minutes like a pro.

Now that was a challenge, the staples part near impossible. In the end I gave up, folded the tags over the plastic tabs and glued with Superglue. Thanks for the clue on how to get started, Superglue is do much easier than staples ...
