@@CowabungaCarDiaries I've also installed rearview camera, bought DRL lamps that go with turn signal, and I would really like to install some kind of follow me home system, that would be a chery on the top! Who knows, maybe you'll do another tutorial :)

Cowabunga thank you. Did mine today I have no experience of electrics. For any other newbies there is a small button next to the electric blocks to help pull them out. Well worth you tubing how to use a quick splice connector. Overall very happy with the mirrors auto folding. Next task for me using the Cowabunga short shift install. Cheers Guys!

Top job mate, just did it on my fn. Like You said 15 minutes job, thx to your tutorial. I have something for You guys. Bootlid shocks upgraded for Merc ML mk1 (W164). Cost 15 quid, fits perfect, just push the button an lid goes up itself. Cheers.

Fitted mine today after watching your video. Would have struggled without it the instructions were shite. Thought I’d messed up at one point, sat the door card back on and shut the door to try it and nothing happened. Door didn’t even lock. Turns out I didn’t push the top right connector back into the door after splicing the wires. Works a treat now tho. Cheers pal

Hi I've just watched your excellent video on fitting remote mirrors folding! I'm about to do something while I do the remote job and what it is I've discovered that my driver side mirror isn't a power folding one as previous owner has skimmed on replacement Anyway I got a power folding on eBay and the mirror case (body) is broke I was wondering I could replace the iners from old non power to the power folding mirror???? Have you ever done this before? Looks like it might be possible to transplant unbroken body Do you know if they use same bodies can you help? Appreciate it thankyou

I have an 09 accord EX with Power Folding Mirrors (AfterMarket) & the exact same module but mines from china ! I have the folding mirrors button But ! The mirrors dont fold I will purchase this and see If it works... Also mine doesnt have the gray wire attached to it but i will see if it works...... It might be a faulty module because mine clicks once in a while but does nothing ! Having trouble with this we just have different color wires but still the same functions ! Hopefully this works !

Hello, thanks for the guide. trying my luck, not sure whether I would receive a response considering 3 years after you uploaded the video. I have a Honda Insight, it's the same thing however, the mirror positioning controls and the button for folding the mirror control are next to the steering wheel. is there any wiring diagram that I can use to splice the cables within the door, as that signal must be somehow sent to the mirror to fold. Thanks in advance.

Quick question, please and thanks.... If buying this module, and the mirrors currently don't work properly (although they are powerfold, I think they have the issue where the existing stock module breaks), does this module mean I wouldn't need to also buy a replacement for the original module?

Usually it’s the sod modules that die inside the mirror. So no, Super easy to replace, one in each mirror. They cost £15 per unit or you can soldering iron just to replace the just the SOD which are like £2 each.

You need folding mirrors already. This will do nothing if you have no motors already in them. The idea is, on GT models there is a button on the inside to fold the mirrors, this module allows them to fold automatically when the car is locked

Mate, I’m doing mine exactly the same way you show, done it twice following step by step, and it’s easy, but still... The module looks the same but it’s from AliExpress and the labels in Chinese.... may be faulty or for different car... When installed, every door control stop working... type R model

Robster Vtec you do mate but it comes with connectors you slide over the wire you want then add the new one and push shut

After watching this and my module coming today, I've decided I'm not going to touch it lmao. Jesus Christ! It said "plug and play", is it fuck!. It was alright until it got to the splicing into random cables on the door, I can't imagine having that all done then the cables coming undone and not being able to get the doors undone.

When did you get it do you want to sell it ?

I come to realise you can’t retrofit this if you haven’t got the actual wires connecting to the wing mirrors. 9 wires is power folding and 7 is non power folding. 9 wires is needed on either side of the connectors where you connect the wing mirror and the power folding

Just brought this. Then watched your video. Not looking forward to fitting it lol
