Jw if u had any weird symptoms with the boost leaks dead pedal or blow by no boost?

Higher EGT’s, lower then normal boost. Tune was for 32psi and I was seeing 25 ish. I still have a couple boost leaks at the intake manifolds, but that is going to wait for when I change the turbo. 477,000km on my truck.

Did u remove the y bridge before you drilled it.?

No I never. I greased the tap and then left the pressure test kit on and pressurized the intake so anything would be stuck to the grease or blown out of the y bridge.

This is perfect for the cold side now what about the hot side?

You plug the hot side right at the turbo with the plug, the exhaust you could cap off at the back or the turbo. Or just deal with some leakage through the valves.

What brand is that kit you have

Dmax guy Lynn Strayer no brand on it. Got it at princess auto. Powerfist probably.

Did you have any check engine lights for the under boost

No i did not, the turbo will be able to compensate for the boost leaks, it will just take more power to produce the extra boost lowering the efficiency. If you're getting an underboost code i would be looking at the turbo vane's being the culprit. Have you gotten a vane position sensor code before?

@@ippielb turns out it was my y bridge it finally went out on me throwing codes p0101 and p0299.

@@michaelscallon5676 thanks for letting us know. They’re known for popping out. I know there’s an aftermarket kit that acts like a retainer and holds the bridge together.

Did you have any problems or any changes when you put the resonator delete cap on?

Makes the turbo whistle louder. No problems.

@@cooperredd4158 no, not at all. It’s just to make the turbo louder. You should also cap off your PCV crankcase breather. Let it vent to atmosphere instead of the intake. Put a block off plate or Delete your EGR. The soot in combination with the oil from the PCV valve will choke off the intake.

Thank you! Would you suggest in getting a aluminum one or just get the rubber one. Have you had to change it out over the years?

@@cooperredd4158 rubber cap from a hardware store works just fine. Had it on for 8 years maybe more and looks like the day i put it on. And only a couple bucks.

Where did you get that leak down test kit ?

Princess auto if you’re in Canada. I’m guessing harbour freight would have them if you’re in the USA.

@@TexanSilverado You can plug your exhaust at the down-pipe. Helps if you give more descriptive questions. Your messages are all very general and open to interpretation.

@@ippielb my bad on that part. But what did you do ? Lol … would it work if put the plug at the plug at the exhaust tip? I got an oem one . And i think i have a boost leak which is why im on the video … i was just confused on where you put yours cause i didnt see …
