Fantastic! best tips and techniques Ive seen for GoPro 👍
This is excellent and so helpful man thank you 🙏🏻 filming my friend DJ a wedding but these tips definitely still apply. Will be using your techniques
GoPro's stabilization is a lifesaver. I used to pack a gimbal with me but just use the GoPro alone now because the digital stabilizing is literally better. Just shoot in 5K and still have great resolution.
Superb tutorial. Thanks. It's just amazing what a GoPro can do once you know how and for a fraction of the cost (and weight) of a cinematic rig. Until very recently, I thought these devices were exclusive to the adrenaline junkies club. This has certainly opened my eyes. Thank you. Peter.

It seems like a very good course. I started with the GoPro 10, but it can be useful for shooting with a smartphone or other video cameras. Thank you.

Some great tips 😁 Was a bit surprised when you said you didn’t know why other channels say to use a quick motion to help for transitions and then do so at the end 😄
@pascalbasel
3 жыл бұрын
That's not what I mean. I mean doing a transition move in a direction that is not the direction of the camera movement. Like I show, moving the camera forward and then suddenly move to the left for transition...
@UnrestrictedIsle

@@pascalbasel ah I see Would this work for forward movement?

Hey Pascal, i would be really interestied in some macro footage..there are some lenses to get a better close up focus on a gopro. Do you have any experience with that?
hi.. thanks for this.. do you have videos on cycling using go pro hero 9 or 10 and settings used?

Thanks and welcome to my channel. The GoPro Hero 8 is good enough. Actually better in some ways. No reason to upgrade really.
I saw your gopro 8 travel vlog please do give us some tips about how do manage to edit such amazing........

I already have a few tutorials on my channel on how I edit them. Just look around :-)
All tips are great but i did not get the good results when i upload my gopro video on youtube, even if i upload and shoot in 4K, footage looks good on my ipad and computer but when i upload it shows art effects and blur in the video.

@HariKristiyanto

Sama case, even used higher bitrate
This is brilliant. One question though.. toward the beginning you mentioned a mistake that you see in gopro tutorials about making a transition by panning or sliding to the side quickly but I'm the end with your bonus tips are you showing the same thing or am I not understanding correctly. Please help me to better understand. And thank you I week subscribe now 💪💪💪

I mean suddenly changing the slide direction, like moving forward first and suddenly moving to the left...
Pascal has been in Chiang Mai so long I think that is the plane be rode in on.
@pascalbasel

Feels like that haha
Thanks for sharing. I'm still unsure whether to shoot in 24fps or 60fps. Now I film in 24 fps 2.7k linear with the 7 black.
@pascalbasel
3 жыл бұрын
24 if you know that you definitely won’t need slow motion for the clip and 60 if you may want to slow it down later. Also better to shoot 4K for best quality. 2.7K is great for 120p for even more slow motion.
@utah62
3 жыл бұрын
@@pascalbasel thanks but on the 7 I cannot use linear in 4K
Hello Pascal! Very interesting and useful! Could you explain how to import GP9 4K files to Adobe Premiere 2020, please? It's unsupported...But there is no problem with 1080((
@pascalbasel
3 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I don't use Premiere and I don't recommend it. Get DaVinci Resolve if you're on Windows or Final Cut for Mac. Both are cheaper and better.
One thing I struggle with is when to use polarpro nd filter and when to avoid the 180 degree rule. I know nd filter help to create "correct" motion blur, but because the sensor of the gopro is small I get shaky footage instead. I try to get my videos to look cinematic with simple movements but sometimes it wont help.
@pascalbasel
3 жыл бұрын
I barely use ND filters and most people don't recognise it. If you have to chose between motion blur and a steady shot, go for a steady shot.
Which camera did you use to make this video? very useful video 👌
@pascalbasel
Жыл бұрын
I think that was Sony a7Siii.
