Rode my Bike to Sturgis (for the 9th time, from south texas within 100 miles of mexican border), and from the time i left to the time i got back, the noise got louder and drove me insane, I sincerely believe this is the noise i heard. Its from the rocker box, my bike has 65k on it, No performance loss, just the noise. It always had this noise, just got a little louder,. or maybe i just noticed it more as my phone went dead and i had no music for 400 miles.

This is a relief; and I’ll be takin him in to have this done! Then before and after on ur video is a huge difference and improvement. Tell me why Harley doesn’t have the sleeves added stock at assembly? Just wonderin’ cuz that makes sense to me and would save on stressin’ over noises the sportsters make! Thanks for the video guys! when my 06 got around 12,000 miles the sound got worse and worse until I thought I'm going to find what's wrong and fix it! Well after looking at the rocker arm and plate design I thought I wonder if someone has found what I did so I looked on the tube and sure enough there was..Bought them installed them and now all you can hear is the sweet tone of the pipes.... Harley doesn't give a flying shit because people would still buy them as they were so why would Harley care to fix it and save-face & representation? A FKN $15.00 fix!

Hey I have 17 fxdls with a 110 in it I have a nasty lifter noise I finally got around to checking it out today With my stethoscope and all all the valves have a tiny bit of noise but the one I'm hearing with my naked ear is the front cylinder exhaust valve. I can hear it really loud in the rocker box but not really down low do you think it's a lifter noise with the sound traveling up? Or is it possible only one rocker rod is loose and rattling.

I have a new 2019 Heritage with less than 400 miles on it making a distinct ticking sound coming from the top of the engine. It becomes more noticeable when winding up and shifting. The dealership will be looking at this to decide what it is and what can be done. Harley makes beautiful bikes with some gorgeous color schemes but when a beautiful machine like this makes noise like that it takes a lot away from the beautiful sound of the pipes and the pleasure and pride of owning and riding one. It seems as though noise like this coming from a gorgeous and costly motorcycle just off the floor is expected and accepted and normal. If this has been going on since ??? how long, it is about time they figured it out.

been riding HD for 57 years kind of sad that a 103 has that much noise from the top end? come on HD you cant fix that before some one buys a new bike and must take it to the shop and pay a ton of money to make his scooters engine not sound like a washing machine? I have a 99roadking, iam 70 years old and i won,t buy a new HD its like the old AMF Harley. Had to put new lifters in last week it a stage 3 only 30,000 on that one sounds like iam going to get some of these Rocker Lockers for mine .oh the lifters were made in Mexico.....
