Master, showing in video the removal and installation of the cover in the easiest place is simple, I believe everyone came to this video to observe the removal and installation of the most difficult place, that is, the rear cylinder cover, you owe it.

That is the easy one the back rocker is a real pain “Great engineering by HD” and on the M8 you have to remove the oil lines. No big deal moving the oil lines but a couple of those back bolts you have to get creative. Great video 👍🏻

Great video! I have the exact same bike just in red. It’s been leaking through the rear rocker box and coming out of my air filter. Now I just need the proper tools but thank you for the video!

Hello I'm about to replace the rocker gaskets on my rear cylinder, my question is do I need any special tools to properly torque down the bolts, I have a 2014 SG 103 also, engine is still in the frame, asking because of the confined space between the top of the rocker and the frame, any tips are very welcome

I've never removed a gas tank before, do you need to empty the gas first? Just want to make sure I dont have gas go everywhere when I disconnect the fuel line

I am going to remove rocker box covers as well as push rod tubes and the bases for powder coating . My question is once front piston is top dead center can I remove rear rocker box covers with front tdc ? Or does rear need to be tdc? Also any videos on push rod and base removals install videos? Thank you for any help or Tips with this.

Hello Ryan, two ?s please. If rocker arm cover gasket is bad, Can I also lose compression? How often should the bolts that secure cylinder to the crank case be checked, I imagine some compression could be lost due to them loosening up. Thank you very much.

No compression loss through rocker cover gaskets. You could however lose compression with bad head gaskets.

You did not mention cleaning the bolt threads before putting on the blue or cleaning out the bolt holes by squirting brake cleaner to remove any oil that might have leaked into the hole. If there is oil in the bolt holes and you cram the bolt you will not get correct torque setting and you can crack the head, according to some of the UTUBE "experts". Glad you are using a torque wrench.

It’s just the breather bolt holes you have to shoot air in them and blow out any oil. I’ve cracked one before. Now I always clean em out. Or you can chase the lock patch on the new breather bolts so oil can move past it.

If you pull the rocker cover off, instead of just re-tightening the bolts, then Yes you should replace the gasket. It's also possible you have a warped cylinder head not making straight-edge contact with your rocker box. That will keep leaking no matter how many gaskets you replace.
