Thank you so much for mentioning the developer mode. I had reset all Bluetooth connections so many time before finding this video. My phone, Motorola Optimo Maxx which is almost same as G7 power, is now automatically and wirelessly connected to Android auto in my car, Toyota Rav 4 hybrid (2020). Again, thank you so much!

We bought a Subaru Crosstrek this week.. my husbands Samsung Galaxy worked right away...my Motorola would not. Had to run back to dealership with USB chord...it worked then would disconnect... ordered new USB chords but then I said let's go to KZread...I took this to the car and it worked! Came up right away!! Thank you for the assist! I shared it with the girl at the Subaru dealership!

This is absolutely the only video that solved my problem for connecting. I tried to connect for hours with no success and it was simply enabling the wireless android auto option which was completely hidden from view. Thanks for solving the problem. I saw this video, made that one change and everything worked.

Great video...I had been struggling why the Motorola MA1 was not pairing and showing Android auto on my vehicle screen... The head unit has wired Android auto so ideally it should work wirelessly with the MA1 adapter.... The trick is to enable the wireless option inside Android auto under developers settings... Nowhere else could i find it mentioned... Thank you heaps... It worked only after ib enabled that setting that you mentioned

Look for wireless display certification. Some phones word things a little differently but it works the same.

Apparently you need an aftermarket head unit which has an app so this was stupid af

What worked for me, was to enter dev-mode, & just "toggle on & off" Worked after that - wirelessly! Huawei phone, here.

Depends if your phone is supported, ford’s infotainment system requires most android phone to have android 11 with 5gb internet.

press the 3 vertical dots button on the top right corner and then select developer option and enable wireless option

The head unit is the hotspot, your phone will connect to it.

I have a Samsung s21 and a 2015 Hyundai sonata and can't find those options in developer mode.

My phone has option to enable wireless android auto It dosent have the option to add wireless projection to settings on my 2018 kia sorento

I just did it with my s21. The OS updated recently and turn my developer mode off. Turned it back on and back in business

Mirroring is different from Android auto, make sure both devices wifi is on and paired along with Bluetooth.

No, the head unit itself supports wireless connections hence it has wifi built in.

Yes, the head unit acts as a hotspot.

Didn't work for me or my dad. I have a fold 3 and a 2017 lincoln mkz with android auto and followed the steps and I still have to use the cable. Dad has a 2022 camery and note 10 same issue. I guess we don't have the wireless projector built into out stock radios?

Yeah, both car's stock head units don't support wireless android auto/carplay, you can try using carlinkit, it's an adapter that gives your head unit that ability.

I'm not sure about this but in some hondas the wireless feature is an upgraded option that you have to pay for.

My S20 does not have the projection mode/option. Just skips it. Now what?

Toyota stock head units do not support wireless connectivity, you’ll need an adapter, I’ll drop a video soon about it.

I don’t think so, the stock head unit isn’t WIFI capable, you are better off with an adapter, I made a video about one.

Your video helped me complete the process. But I ran into another problem, the smatphone does not browse the internet over the 4g network. I'm using an Android 10 Xaiomi Redmi note 9S. Do you have any tips on how to solve it?

Usually I turn the data on last, so connect both bluetooth and WiFi when android auto boots up, turn on mobile data, usually that works for me.

Hey friend tks for your video. Let haters hate. F*@#ckin stupid ppl that doesn't know how to even turn their radio on. I have a P30 Pro and have been struggling to get it to connect to the smart mirror I just got. My friend's old S10 works flawlessly and also another S22. This is a perfect solution for Huawei users and again YOUR HEAD UNIT MUST HAVE WIFI. Question since I'm connected via WiFi and Bluetooth now I don't have data because of it. Is there anyway I can tell my phone to override the wifi and use my data? I already turned on my WiFi+ option what allows to override wifi when there is no internet on it but it doesn't seems to work. Again thanks for putting time and effort on it.

Hey, found a solution for the data issue. Just forget your WiFi head unit on your phone and then when you connect again it will ask if you want to stay connected on the WiFi (that doesn't have internet) or switch back to mobile data. In that screen don't do anything and just press back. Tadaaaa now you have data on you phone and head unit. Again thanks for your video. It's was of great help.

Maybe your head unit doesn't support it, if you physically connect your phone via usb and nothing happens, your head unit most likely don't have the future.

No such settings mine jumps from share to save nothing inbetween.

My Samsung S22 Ultra doesn't have (add wirless projectin to settings). Android auto is built in to the operation system on my phone. Andoid auto works fine with the cord but not wirless. My old Note 10 did.
