I can't install G.P.S. v 19.0.56. on Samsung S10. Maybe because there is no 420dpi version. But G.P.S. v 19.4.20 in nodpi version will install without any problem. Any ideas ?

Hello Daniel. I have Xiaomi MI 9 and Kenwood 8019 DABS. I followed all the STEPS. Phone and Kenwood are connected trough WiFi (so no USB connection) but from this moment I have no internet/date connection on the phone, like being in flight mode. Any idea to fix that?

Coz thts how it syncs/connects to ur fone, thus via 5ghz only

Dose anyone knwo why it doesn't work in the UK ??

Basically wifi to wifi connection happens between phone and car for android auto.. but not a single video maker tells that your map wont work coz ur wifi is in connection mode.. so you have to make sure "auto switch to mobile network option" is on in your mobile setting.. dats when your mobile starts using mobile data even when your wifi is in active connection with car and map, online songs app etc starts working in android auto.

I don't have that option called "android auto" in google settings. I have android auto installed on android 11., i can not get through all the way in this tutorial.

It's working on huawei mate 20 pro. But now i don't have internet because it want to use wifi. So i can't use anything on it now. Any solution? :(

No need to downgrade, the most important factor is the unit must support wireless android auto. Many units don't sooo we're out of luck.

Not on the DDX9018 as it only has 2.5Ghz WiFi

Can you please check and confirm if this also works with Pioneer AVH-Z9200DAB? That unit also has 5 GHz Wi-Fi frequency channel...

Works but when I play music off Spotify it won't play. it keeps cutting off and pausing

Tested this today in a store and with a Pioneer Avic Z920 DAB. But as I only had a small amount of time I asked myself afterwards if the internet connection works. The phone connects to a wifi hotspot which the headunit provides but on android usually the internet connection of the wifi connection will be used. And the headunit doesn't provide internet. So how can mobile data (for internet) and wifi (for connection to the headunit) work at the same time?!

The head unit will never put out internet its not a modem and has no SIM card, its a Wireless Connection for putting up wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto that is all, your phone will still work with internet even during this connection as it will pull from the data / network connection to do this even while connected to "WiFi" with this unit.

@@destrybell2523 Yes, I went to data settings on my phone and checked a box that allows the phone to automatically switch to mobile data when the wifi connection has no internet. It's been awesome ever since.

If you still can't get it to work read my comment and do the same you might have the same problem I did Well your video finally made me figure out why i couldnt get it to work on my Galaxy s20 plus with the Kenwood DMX9706s. I wish you would have mentioned it but something you days made me realize the problem. If no matter what you do you still can't get it to work all the way and the only thing you're getting is the lock screen and a blue screen with the settings icon on it then you need to go back into developer settings and change the dpi (the pixels neck to the original value). I've been trying to get it to work for this week be the third day and I would get it to where it would show my lock screen and my background picture. Then I watched your video and still nothing and I'm not a noob. I've been jailbreaking and rooting phones drive the second iPhone. But didn't think it had anything to do with the pixel density on my screen until after I followed what you did step by step and it didn't work still. Then I remembered where you said in the video to make sure you download the fine that corresponds to your phone's dpi. Changed it, quick reboot and loving life.

Tap the version info in Android Auto settings a number of times to enable developer settings

I've changed all the settings on my phone (s10+) reset it , plugged it in had android auto as soon as I unplug it stops working .. What am I missing ? Unit is the dmx8019dabs

One step I found was missed. Once u go into setting for android auto. U need to tap a number of times on the version tab which activates the developer settings. Once I did this it worked. It's a little buggy but I got it working today on kenwood ddx919ws

in android auto version info keep tapping that 10 times, then check three dots at the top developer setting should appear.:)

IT HAS TO BE SAID!!! search android auto in apps, open it, go to bottom, version, tap enough times to activate dev mode, now click the 3 dots top right (usually) and go into dev mode, check the box for wireless projection.. WORKED FOR ME!! I have S9+ KENWOOD DMX 8019 DABS

I'm having a problem, DMX8019 headunit and Samsung S8+ When I turn on wifi, it finds a wifi network called DMX8019 but I cannot connect to it? The headunit, under WiFi setup says the password is 12345678, but this doesn't seem to work? Do I need to connect to the wifi? You dont do this in your video, but how does the phone connect to the headunit unless you manually do this? Thanks

You don't need to connect to the WiFi, just the bluetooth. The WiFi connection happens by itself in the background.

@@jacektrzeciakiewicz285 nope. But I talked to the Help desk for my car. (in my case a Toyota Aygo 2020 model) And they said that a new update was coming in the beginning of next year. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck bud!

Resetting your phone really? I guessed you got confused no? You meant reboot. Plus you might need to connect to your head unit with Wi-Fi as well, as bluetooth is not able to carry enough data to display Android Auto, the Bluetooth is only triggering the start of Android Auto when bluetooth handshake is done between both devices.

Can't get it working with my S10E (Google play services = beta, v20.26.13) Also, S10E is not in the official compatible phones list for AA wireless... Do I have to unpair already existong bluetooth connections (between car and phone) before re-begining / pairing?

Have a 2020 Blazer and using a Pixel 4 XL. Auto only works when I plug it in... Any tips?

@@szymonbanak42 under the android auto settings try scrolling down to where it shows the version number and tap on it several times like you have to do for the regular developer options for android system and it should work, that's how I was finally able to get it to show for me.

I am using Google Play services Beta version and I updated each SW to be up to date: Samsung S10e - Version number: G970FXXU3ASG8 Google Play Services: 19.2.74 (100408-265167076) (Beta version) Android Auto: 4.5.592854 Ford Sync 3: Version 3.3 compilation: 19052 What can be a problem then? My phone or my car?

@@hyrax00 apparently wireless isn't supported yet for android auto. I left a review on Google play and they responded with a link that directed me to a list of phones. The note 10 is supported but not the plus.

nice video. I updated google play services based on my arch and display setting. I have sumsung galaxy s8 like yours and my google play services version is 19.8.31 (100408-284611645) I download it and installed it. However, when I go to settings->google, on the screen it has my google account (xyz@gmail.com) and "manage your google account", then it lists things like account services, ads, backup, chromebook, etc. it doesn't have android auto and your video shows at 9'17". what went wrong?

In case if your car doesn't support Wireless Android Auto you can try carsifi.com adapter which makes Wireless Android Auto on all cars and head units which support wired Android Auto

Dude made it overly complicated. Just tap version and permission info 10 time under android auto. Then click the 3 dots in the top right and enter developer mode.. Super easy.
