This is brilliant!! I've used my hands before but I find that messy so I'm going to be using fork and knife from now on cos it's satisfying and calming to my OCD brain😂😂😂😂 To each their own

This method is good for bigger fish. For red mullet is better to eat everything except the bone. Even the head and tail are good if they are fried crispy.

This is a good tutorial, though I still continue to eat the whole fish including bone.

God, I never thought about doing this. Now I want to try it out. I'd still probably eat some of the fish head though.

In a formal setting you can't do that. Just like the fact that you can't lick the delicious sauces off your fingers or your utensils in a formal setting, even though those sauces may very well go to waste.

I suggest eating whole fish with chopsticks or hand, tip of chopstick is smaller than fork and knives and makes it easier to pick out smaller chunks of meat left in the fish wasting less food

But you wasted 30% ....here in India we eat almost all the fish except the bones obviously

A lot. There are some in the rib cage on the ventral quarter he discarded, as well as a little bit in the head. It's tricky to access with a fork and a knife, though.

i'm sorry but on the 1:56 part... it may be practical but very improper... maybe that's just not how we eat it... we simply take out the meat by fork and spoon and leave the fish properly intact...

I enjoy the fish with hand , I also eat the meat of head and cheek.. it is small amount but tasty

My grandfather would have whacked me on the wrist for throwing away so much flesh. A quarter of the fish went to waste, especially when the belly the best(fattiest) part of a fish.

Uhm, that’s why they should learn how to use chopsticks. I believe chopsticks at least help you pick bones out (and as I guess, people in non-chopsticks world use hands to pick them physically, and got their hands dirty).

I don't know why you all come here but I came to learn how to eat it without killing myself because of the bones, horrible accident did happen to me. And now I'm already 21 yrs old I think I should learn now. 😅 Still can't believe I found this kind of video.

My neighboro made me fish

I hate fresh water fish especially the big ones cuz they got hella amount of bones and the flesh is so fragiles making it harder to remove the bones.....i use fingers to remove the bones, but still it takes hella long to fully remove all of the bones...had to repeatedly squish the flesh cuz the bones are hiding inside the flesh...not as simple as shown in the video...i always remove all of the bones before i start eating....sometime it took me more than 15min to get it done which is hella annoying....i would never buy fish whenever i buy my own food..it's taste isnt really that great either compared to other food which dont have such troublesome bones needed to be remove..it's worse when they cook it with gravy and the fish goes extra soft and fragile, mixing the bones into the flesh a lot more...i eat fish only when i dont really have good reason to refuse it when other people serve it to me...i dont like wasting food, so dont tell me to just scrape the top of the fish and throw away the remaining flesh near the bones....i'd rather not eating the fish at all rather than wasting the food which other people are perfectly cool with it and not bothered by the bones...i prefer my food simple and easy to eat....something like anchovies and diced meat or chicken are on top of my list....from where i live, people rarely remove the bones from the fish before cooking......

Portuguese people eat fish with their hands to eat around the bones. There's no shame in our game. Watching this guy eat fish makes me feel some type of way 😕
