Tip for spraying screws: use a cardboard box with screws poked into the box and then spay the tops of the screws.

I am so glad I found this video! I knew I was in the right place from the beginning bc I have the same mirror with the same things holding it onto the wall that you had in the beginning with the same color and texture wall! I don't have those lights though (but I wish I did). And, we are currently trying to figure out how to frame the mirror (although that is not how I stumbled across your video). I LOVE how this turned out! This is exactly to my taste and my liking. And I REALLY appreciate all those little tips you gave (stopping up the drain, don't spray your wedding ring, etc.) ESPECIALLY the "don't put too much glue on it bc it will reflect in the mirror" bc that is something I would totally do. Thanks so much! LOVE this video!!!

nice looking brushed nickel finish with multiple water spray options Our master bathroom has a standing shower with handheld shower head. We started to see some rust spots in the hose not to mention heavy mineral built ups in the shower head because our house has very hard water despite water softener we have. My wife picked out this handheld shower head to replace our old one because she loves the brush nickel finish to match our bathroom decors but this turned out to be very impressive handheld shower head. Although I have replaced shower heads many times in the past, it came with nice instruction on how to replace it for those who's not familiar with it. My only advise would be to use wrench to hold the base spout when removing and installing the holding adapter so you don't accidently twist and damage the base pipe when you over tighten it. I really appreciate that it came with plenty of plumber's tape because you really want to put that on before connecting different parts so that there's no water leak in between threads. This is one of most common mistakes and reasons why there's leak after installing it. Very happy to see that they have provided plumber's tape to remind you to use it! It also had rubber rings/washers in each connector but it also came with extra one, which is nice. They also included a shower drain cover to prevent hair from going in to the drainage, which is a nice bonus. I really love the brush nickel finish, which makes it look elegant and expensive. The 7 different water spray setting is nice to have so you can change it for different purpose. We will most likely leave it on one setting for most of the times but it's nice to have option to change it when needed, such as jet spray for cleaning the shower wall, etc. After replacing the shower head, I didn't see any leak and the stainless steel hose feels sturdy. I also like that I can rotate and tilt the shower head holder and it stays in place. Overall, very happy with this shower head! amzn.to/3gVZIrH ( AMAZON -US )

This is a good quick idea. I just finished mine and it does change the room. I followed everything he did except the liquid nail. I built the frame completely then used 3M sticky so that it was so permanent. The imperfections in the wood make it so only use 220 grit sandpaper. When you do the brekets before gluing it's easy to work with. Oh yeah and I'm in Canada. It costed almost $45 no big deal

We also put small wood blocks on the backsplash to evenly space and support it until we were sure it was secure. Thank you for posting this… very helpful!!!

Looks great! Personally I would have taken the mirror off the wall, moved up 1-2 inches and made a notch out in wood for the width of the mirror and mirror clips. May be able to get away with no glue then, and wood frame is flush to wall. To avoid bloching of stain (some areas darker than others) can use a pre-stain conditioner.

But, given the clips will be gone after you put these beautiful frames, how are we going to remove the mirror, should there be a need to do so. Thanks once again for the video. It is very helpful indeed, and of course, the frames are aesthetically very pleasing. I am contemplating to do something similar.

The one thing I don't quite understand is that, isn't there a small gap between the frame and the wall since it's sitting on the mirror and overlapping or how did you get it flush with the wall without cutting a groove in to account for the thickness of the mirror?

No sealant on the wood? In a bathroom? Needs some poly over the surface. To keep the rustic look you can use a flat sheen which is better than nothing, but a higher sheen would be best.

I'm just starting this project and got the standard plastic hangers, and then I thought the same thing...the boards won't be flat against the mirror. I don't want to glue the mirror to the wall, so I'm going to chisel out a small recess on the boards to accommodate each bracket, they will lay flush against the mirror that way.

Do you add an inch to the 36” so it’s 37” Or Add an inch to both the left and right side of all 4 pieces so it be 38”?

Do you not have to cock or fill the gap between the mirror and the wood? You mentioned the glue does not show if you go down low enough but is there not then an opening between the glass and the wood?

Do the screws thatre going into the brackets actually go through the mirror itself or just the wall?

Just into the wood. Maybe 1/4” or 1/2” at most

It’s really a nice idea. Did you drill the screws into the wall or just the wood?

really nice finished product, especially with the rest of the room. That'll be an absolute pig to ever take down though - I would have looked at a different mechanism for holding your mirror. Perhaps a couple of z brackets painted black (to match) with enough clearance to get a screwdriver to them in the future.

Does this mean you can't remove the mirror since the frame covers the nails on the wall?

Invest in an orbital sander. You can also get a fantastic result with a propane torch on the wood (Shou sugi ban method) followed by sanding and sealing
