    +SirDiggalot I use a tablet and I don't duplicate, ever - or scale, distort, transform, these kind of things, because I feel it makes the final result a bit awkward, like the eye hasn't been taylored for that face - which it isn't, since it's a duplicate. I make an exception for layers and Ctrl+Z though, those are the life rafts that keep me floating above the ocean of potential failure.

But I think I’ll draw each of them twice or thrice till I master😄 and I can give my word, I’ve tried plenty others on ‘fashion illustration hands’ but none of them came as close as Jazza’s. This is really helpful bro, love how you break it down & simplify it. I'm used to simply drawing something by looking at it, which results in a great sketch, but it bypasses the actually learning the process, which is what I've been working on so I could create my own

  • @LorenHelgeson
    @LorenHelgeson Жыл бұрын

    I've dabbled with drawing for years (a couple decades, actually) and I've always shied away from hands because they felt so overwhelming to even begin approaching. You broke it down very well, and despite the relatively quick pace, you made it easy to follow along with. I finally have a confidence to give drawing hands a real shot.

    Hello I know your comment is for fun, but I just thought I’d type this. For me, I feel like it’s good to keep in mind that most of the time, being good at something isn’t strictly talent. It’s mainly practice, hard work, and dedication to your interests. So, while you may not think that you’re not capable of doing something because you weren’t born with that ability, it doesn’t mean you aren’t able to do that thing and do it well. You and most of everyone just need more time to get used to it. Yeah I know this is a joke, but I thought it’d be nice. Goodness knows, I’ve needed someone to tell me this before. Yeah, so long comment. Blah blah believe in yourself. You’re awesome and have a great day.

    How long are the fingers supposed to be? How far apart are they supposed to be? How do you add detail? Where should the knuckles go? How do I space out the finger lengths compared to the length of the Trapezium? How do I get the proportions right? What angle does each finger come out relative to eachother and how do I gauge them using guidelines?
