Im mixed with dreads. I like tropical roots cream because it holds the mixed hair well. You can also use a wrap lotion but he has to sit under a dryer or blowdry it until its dry all of the way through.
I must comment on your skin it’s smooth velvet dark moisturize rich 🖤🖤🖤 evenly toned is so pretty.

I went through SO many videos just to find one like this😩.. This has answered all my questions in one. I’m only 2 months in and I’m SO excited to start my journey! And now I know how to save $ on getting my hair retwisted! 😆. Thank you! #Subscribed
Thank you Queen!!! I needed this short information video on a good retwist!!
Thank you for making this short sweet and to the point!
I love love your locs Queen thanks for the info!
I am so glad I found your video!!! My quarantine new growth is out of control. I have small locs, damn near sister loc size, since I started them with braids. I gotta get in this head it's been 4months & your video is so helpful, now I know I need to use a comb!!!
I really like this method. I’m going to use this method for my first retwist. I’m excited
Wow.... Your Locs are EVERYTHING! I can’t wait for mine to mature. Keep up the good work Queen✨
AMAZING DEMONSTRATION VIDEO , keep gong black queen . Love to see it
I just subscribed based off this video aloneeee!!! Thank youuuuu!!!
I tried your method on my locs to make them look thick at the end and they look fabulous so thank you for this video 💕🙏🏽✨👊🏽
Your locs are my loc goal. I’m three weeks loc’d. Thanks for the video
I’m 10 months in and have been trying to find a good example on what to do. I retwisted my hair for the first time by myself in April. This is soooo helpful. Thanks queen!
Thank you so much for this video! I've been looking for a solution for my loose hairs at the roots and I was going to crochet them but this seems a lot easier.
Your locks are so beautiful, I love locks so much but yours are so good-looking.
Thank you for this. I needed an example of locsmithing on your own locs
Thanks for this amazing content ❤❤❤
This was very helpful! Thank you!
The easier technique I have seen so far ...love the video short and to the pont...
This is the least up yourself tutorial I have managed to find on this subject. I find some others often make the subject about themselves rather than getting to the point, with their finger clicking, neck snapping, "Look at me, aren't I great" attitudes. Singing, rolling their eyes and chatting endlessly before getting to the point of the video!! Thank you, Queen, for this short and concise video. I've learned more in this short tutorial than I ever do in those long, wise cracking me, me, me videos. Now, I like to laugh and sing and chat as much as the next person, but when I wanna learn, I wanna learn without the showcasing!!! 😅. Blessings sis, and thanks again!
This was very helpful thank you sis 💕
You’re the best❤️

I will join the comments in saying I have watched video after video on doing my retwist. I did my first one and it looked nice that night but when I woke up the roots were back to being fuzzy like I never retwisted. I am difintely going to do it the way you are showing and see how that works for me. Thank you so much. I love you made it simple in talk and demonstration and got right to the point. Nice short to the point informed video with demonstration. Yes I’m a subscriber now.

Just coming across your videos and my hubby has long locks that idk the last time he had them done! It’s hard to make out parts, hair is mixed in with two locks in prolly a lot of areas and some locks are short and some long. There is plenty new growth and his hair is soft and curly too! I have never done anything with locks and I’ve been wanting to do them but it’s to make the time. He’s a naturalist too so glad I found your channel! Any tips please on starting? Like should I do a acv rinse to make sure it’s clean clean before doing a retwist? Thank you! And your locks in this video looks amazing! I love the lock thickness but does going skinny to thick damages hair or no? So many questions lol and your skin is flawless!!

Hello. Would you do a More complete tutoring on the locksmithing method please? Or any links? Thanks
Ooh madam thank you so much ...can you educate me how to start dreadlocks from a scratch and a best cream or oil
I appreciate this video.. I'm looking to do this method... But what is your mirror setup where your can see the back of your head as both of your hands are free...
Hey there!! I’m trying to learn myself I did my first retwist and didn’t realize I started my locs in different directions so some are unraveled towards the top because i retwisted the opposite way. I guess my big questions are do think I have to start over? And also if I’m looking correctly you retwist to the right, counter clockwise right? So like the twists are going towards the root not away? Thank you for these videos there very well made
😍😍😍
You make it look easy,maybe I just don’t have have the patience and I’m a perfectionist when I try to locsmith and my hair marries very easy when I try to go longer than 2 weeks which makes it harder to retwist for me.😑🙂🙃
What do you do to make it stay this way and not unravel after you finish coiling the roots??
what Gerry is the best,, can plan water retwist
How many lock do you have.? What method did you start with? Your hair is gorgeous

Do you air dry or use dryer?
I started with my locs being twisted one way, I let someone else do them and they twisted in all different directions. Can I go back to them being twisted the first way, or have I messed up? Helllllp
When the vid came on, I heard the first note n thought it was White Iverson by Post Malone, sang the whole thing while watchin this helpful video loll
I am 6 year locd but it is hard for me to get to a beautician I really need to learn how to loc my hair because it is thin in some places on my locs. I have attempted to do my own locs several times but this time I really want to learn 1 to save money and two to be able to show true love and attention to my hair can you please help.
I can't do that hand movement that you do at the end of the loc
Hi I have smaller starter locs 2months old. I started with two strand twist & interlock to maintain roots do you know can I also palm roll to minimise frizz? Your new babies are looking great btw😊
@naturalbeauty0214

Thank you! Yes Palm rolling will help with frizz but you won’t be able to completely eliminate it
This is pretty hard
What product do you use for Retwist again and where can I get it from. What in the bottle that you spray on. Your hair?

how long do you keep the clamps in?
@naturalbeauty0214

While I'm sitting under the dryer. Usually about 20-30min
My issue is with the loose strands along with the frizz. I'm 15 months an still battling these ANNOYING strands from the roots and middle of the locs. I've tried wrapping them around the locs but they always come loose again.

NaturalBeauty0214 😅 good to know. I’m sure my loctician does this when retwisting my hair bcuz it’s always so neat & uniform but I’ve never done it myself when I do my own retwist! Sometimes I kinda like the frizz bcuz makes my hair appear thicker/fuller than it is 😊

I retwist everyday otherwise I wake up with a fro everyday. How do y'all get your hair to stay in locs? Is it possible to have the wrong hair type? Do I NEED TO go to a stylist? People say use gel, some say use wax, some say never wet your hair and some say wet your hair. About almost ready to just give up. I need someone's help bad.
@naturalbeauty0214

Do not wrap the hair around you locs everyday. You have to let your locs be and mature on their own. You can have a loose curl pattern where it will take more time for your locs to mature but all hair can be locked. If you have questions, I would at least get a consultation from a professional loctician just to make sure you're on the right path. I don't think wax is necessary to hold the hair but I do use gel. Water is absolutely necessary to keep locs from being dry. Rosewater or Aloe vera is even better. I hope this helps!

How do you make your retwist last long...im struggling
@naturalbeauty0214
4 жыл бұрын
You can wrap your locs every night to help prevent frizz as well as preserve your retwist. Satin or silk bonnets work the best. Your locs will last longer as they mature if you are in the beginning stages.

I have a long hanging mirror on the back of my bathroom door that I look through.
ok girl. I knew i wasn't the only one who was struggling with this ridiculous palm roll method. Idk how the people on video did it(in hindsight, they probably just did another method off camera just so that could make you believe that the palm roll method worked). It doesn't work!! It unravels literally seconds after I roll it, or even as I'm progressing towards the end of the loc. So fucking irritating!
Retwist your locs will get thin
😍😍😍
