How to Design Your Life (Achieving Goals Through Systems)
One of the best books I've ever read was by Scott Adams called "How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big." Adams speaks significantly on the value that comes from creating 'systems' around the things we want to achieve, and focusing on honoring that system on a daily basis, rather than simply directing our attention at the goal. Not only are we more likely to hit that objective, but we end up feeling happier and more successful as we engage in the process.
With love and respect,
Nikhil

I think that is why so many people fail to ever reach their goals. Hollywood and so called self help gurus have us convinced that to reach success that it requires massive action or luck to make anything happen in our lives. When in reality success is more often than not achieved by simply doing a few key things constantly over time.
This is exactly what I have been doing over the past 3 months or so. I have been running a system where I’m living better and I think consistency is key. Certain things I do everyday without fail: -Get up at 5am -Daily Journaling (I’m on Day 23) -Drink at least 2L of water -Reading at least 10 pages of a good book -Exercise -Leaving the house to be amongst nature and away from the hustle and bustle Once I started to do these little steps, I feel as if my productivity has gone up exponentially. Also No PMO is helping (day 10 today) Like you said, it’s about not setting goals. Equally, not everything will happen overnight. And don’t try to do everything at once. Thanks as always for this Cap. Great video. All is well, all shall be well and manner of thing shall be well.

I used to dayjournal. I’d write ‘’today I’m proud over’’ or *PO* for short. And i’d list things I got done during the day. I have really bad short term memory so I would day journal ../.../.../ *WO* worried over: X, Y, Z And I actually mended and resolved issues and problems I that I probably would’ve just forgotten or repressed. Even if it had to take 72 hours since I journaled what I worried over 3 days earlier.
The goals are like flowers... What you have to do to get the flowers doesn't look like flowers at all: prep the soil, watering, getting rid of weeds, etc... Focus and enjoy the gardenig process and the flowers will come naturally. Great video. Keep the system going

great metaphor for focusing on the process Borja
Every day when I wake up, I do my morning routine, I call Morning Preparation. It includes: ¬ Go to the toilet and drink a glass of water ¬ Detailed writing of my dreams that night (if I had any) ¬ Gratitude (2min) ¬ Meditation for energy and vitality, to prepare for that day, in terms of E (15min) ¬ Affirmations (4min) ¬ Concentration Practices (15min) ¬ Meditation, it can be just breathing, sometimes with mantra or binaural beats (10min) ¬ Visualisation + Desires (4min) ¬ Preparing for all daily activities which I had written (2min) ¬ Streching (around 10min) ¬ Cold Shower I want to hear your morning routines! P. S. Great content, Nikhil!

I believe you are exactly correct. Routines become habits, systems in place create the process necessary to reach any goal. Sold a business once and it wasn’t because I had the best sales force or backend operation but rather because it was a system that worked well regardless of employees coming or going...

You explained this really well! 😄 Thanks for the great points about routines become habits and having systems in place when running a business. I'll remember this for next time!
When you follow that system you feel so fulfilled. It’s as though you have already acheived your goal, because you know the goal will be achieved as you live the way you do
I also love your outro, "... to us i say, greatness is coming" makes a strong impact in the end
A goal is only a destination, the system is how you get there. They work hand in hand😳. I just learned that
Scripting 30 minutes a day and carrying the camera everywhere looking for B-Roll opportunities whenever and where ever. Wow, this is perhaps one of the most practical steps and advice for any creators to follow out there!
Dude you just expounded Karma Yoga!!! Focusing entirely on our actions instead of the results. The process is more important than the end result. Instead of setting the end result as goal, one should set his own process itself as his goal. Only then his possiblities are limitless!! Watching your videos had always made me understand the wisdom words of our Rishis in a different light. Thankyou Cap. 🙏🏾 Love from Kerala, India ❤️

This resonated so much with me, I've never known why am always job hoping for me, I just never wanna get comfortable with the jobs i get so i always look for what's next that Ican do that's better, besides I am so entrepreneurship minded and always figured that I eventually dont want to work for anyone for long and I guess that's also why. Thanks a lot for this, finally someone who did what am doing.
Great video, thanks for taking time to create it. Looking forward to watch more of it.

This was a great video I also created a system when I was 15 and it lasted about 3 months before exams hit and I had to study more. -Wake up 6am within 2min -Make bed -Meditate 5-10min -Read 40min of my book -Reach my daily target on duolingo -Light morning workout -Write 3 goals/reasons for gratitude of the day (got rid of this a few weeks in) -Eat breakfast -Work on my art project (graphic design) -Leave to school I have a new schedule at 16 which is similar but is more adapted to my goals in life.
Your advice is gold as always
Truly inspiring!
Impressive, thank u

Thank you. This really helped.
This is what I do, too. If I stuck to metrics as the only success, I would have quit by now. instead I clearly see my progress, and that alone is a powerful reason to keep going!
Found this to be really helpful & I loved the example used of brushing your teeth. TY
Your general knowledge of things is pretty dope
Good video Captain, I will read the book thinking in systems to connect more ideas

thank you for watching Saksham
This is what I needed to hear right now. I have been tracking metrics daily that I will no longer track. I will no longer track metrics that I cannot directly control. Watch minutes, and subscriber count will no longer be a metric I track daily. Out of my control. # of videos uploaded I will keep tracking and in my mind daily. I will replace the watch minute and subscriber count tracking with tracking script writing for the day!
Goals is a one time thing. It’s an instant dopamine hit when achieved. But what sustains that and builds long term is the system you have in place that got you to that goal in the first place.
I just wanted to thank you for your training programme and I think you should hit Netflix your acting skills are excellent. I don't set goals but I do have one big goal and I improve daily. I have been writing a lot after I was scripting, I knew it's helping me and I feel I am improving my writing. you have confirmed this for me and ill will write daily now, just how I'm writing this lol thanks again. 🙏
I’ve been really striving for next year to create systems over goals. Will try the script writing one first! Great suggestion.
Greatness is coming.

Systems > goals.. makes sense.. 🤔thanks!! 😊
You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. This is one of the most influential video of my life. I strongly believe in Karma Yoga but always find it difficult to implement because of lack of understanding about "HOW". After watching your video I got my answer of "How", its creating a system. Working on system is simple & keep our head clear. This really a cool concept. Wanna say one thing, I realise everyone has their light bulb moment. This is mine. Thanks a-lot Captain SINDABAD for showing me the path.

I’m preparing scripts for my KZread channel (this one) at this time, you always inspire me and this video really resonated with what I want to do. I’ve been fretting over the small stuff and fearing to release content for the fear of failure or being mocked or misunderstood. But maybe I just need to launch as soon as I can instead of when I feel “ready”.

Exactly.... Instead of chasing or setting goals we must try to evolve, become better to such an extent that things even better than our goals start happening to us.. I saw a video in which Sadhguru said something sort of similar..
I love this idea of creating a system to live by everyday and letting the success come to you. But I’m wondering if you still write down your goals every morning and night? Because I know you used to do that Keep up the great content Cap

Goals = target destination Systems = means by which you get there.
