HOW TO DESIGN YOUR LIFE | a system that will change your life

There is no Life B, there is only Life A. If you want to have a life you love, you need to take control of being the creator and designer of that future. Life Design, otherwise called Planning, is the most fundamental shift I ever made in my life. When I began regularly designing my ideal life, I began regularly living in the results I wanted.

I dashed to your site to make my purchase. I was so excited about my new planner and to get started! Then the nervousness set in, like it always does when starting something new. I'll need to power through and do the work. I'm glad you and your videos are here for support! Thank you!

I‘m a master at planning :D doing is the hard part for me. I actually need to stop myself from overplanning to every detail, because while that feels productive, it’s often procrastination, and when I‘ll finally do it it‘ll be in a different way and time anyway.

@@valeb410I think one of the best ways to overcome that issue is to go do that thing, but tell yourself you will only do a very small amount of work. It will inevitably trick your brain into no longer procrastinating and you, over time, will do more and more. For example, if you plan to start a project of painting a room, tell yourself you only need to tape a small section of the room for prep work. It feels less daunting and gets you in the mode of doing. While you tape you realize you actually have more time and it’s feeling good to continue on. Before you know it the whole room is prepped for the paint. I hope that helps.

After researching a good deal of videos trying to find a practical guide to goal setting, and I don't mean "I want to read more this year" but goals that align within a grander strategy, I must say that your videos are the crucial, actionable, echelon, that brings it all together. No non-sense, practical and straight to the point.

This is my first time watching a video by you and I could tell you were a teacher before you even mentioned it. Nothing better than using large paper boards to explain something. It really helped me focus and digest what you were writing without the overstimulation of graphics and bright colours most videos about this topic use. And your explanations were simple and straightforward. Will definitely be checking out your channel. Thank you!

I really liked how you showed the 2 paths diverging. It’s a good visual for consequences of doing/not doing. Sometimes I sort of thank myself from 10 years ago for habits that I created back then and stuck to because they have benefited me in the long run

I've been really enjoying your series! I actually learned to plan this way by trial and error this year and I had my most successful year. I finished my first rough draft, I lost 9lbs, I paid off a chunk of debt and set up an emergency fund all while having more quality time with my family. And it took putting what I wanted in a timed planner and continued journaling and reflecting as I went. I really resisted the idea of setting things by time cuz of my flowy hippy nature but it made all the difference. Your planner is amazing and I believe it would work for people. Well done.
