How to Deal with Life's Challenges | Eckhart Tolle Teachings

According to Eckhart, even after experiencing a spiritual awakening, we will continue to face challenges in life. And how you respond to these challenges, how you confront them is really what determines how you experience your life. It is not determined by what happens to you, but how you react to what happens.

I’ve been listening to Eckhart for a few years now, and he is always that reminder to stop the story in my head and to be still more often in between my rapid thoughts. I still experience anxiety, but now I know that I don’t have to just by stopping it in it’s tracks. Stillness is possible anytime and anywhere ⭐️💗 I love Eckhart and he’s reminded me of what was already there but had been lost with the pile-up of non-existent worries.

Eckhart often talks about the importance of acceptance, and how important it is to accept what is. Learning this has been such fantastic tool for me I have also now realised the equal importance of accepting what isn't too. What is, is without thought and what isn't only exists because of thought. So now when I catch myself worrying about a possible future event I remind myself that what is, is genuinely happening in the present moment and what isn't, isn't and isn't happening anywhere else but in my imagination.

A number of challenges faced after awakening may include when you’re in the presence of someone who is not as awakened, and when they preach something or say or do something you may disagree with, it’s better to just let it go. That can be a challenge for some awakened people, but it gets easier as you go.

What a wonderful human being, lighting the pathway for others to find true peace. He gives such a succinct summary of WHY there is suffering, and the underlying pathology of our mind's usual mode of operation. Rootedness in consciousness is the universal answer to all of life's "problems". In the absence of this, life really can be just one d@mn thing after another.

Oh my gosh 😯 this is a message I had in mind and this video popped up in the right time. People are too attached to the outcome they forget to experience the journey. Their consciousness gets so caught up in either the past or the future and they completely forget to feel the present moment. I love this lesson🤍❤🧘🏽‍♀️

I remember when I was done with my PhD dissertation. 3 weeks after that I was feeling like and act from awareness. And that is true that it was because my mind was not rising as much as before, when I was doing research. But later I started my research job and it became little harder to be awareness itself. Sometimes I got lost in thoughts and some people and things could easily irritate me, affect my mood. But I have to tell you this. I improved application of self realization to my bodymind (which is third stage of awakening) much more in these times not in comfort.
