I am 13 years old and watch mufti menk everyday he has helped me so much on life, I would get bullied because of my weight and shouted at and I get rude comments by my parents when I get bad grades I would be very disrespectful and bad but mufti Menk is helping me to try and stop. I remember seeing him at a mosque where he signed his book for me and we shared our salams. It was right after school I go to an islam school where I am trying to gain knowledge on Quran and all other types of knowledge of the deen. Pls make dua for me so I can pass every exam and gain more and more knowledge as I go and that I be respectful to everyone and treat my parents with love and respect . I aspire to be like the prophet and all khalifas and mufti menk is helping me get there without even knowing.

We’ve run out of things to talk about so nowadays people form friendships and bond over backbiting and gossiping. This is why I don’t hang out with a lot of people anymore, 90% of people’s conversations is gossip. Better off being a loner than indulging in sin. My body and soul rejects this kind of negative behaviour towards each other. Backbiting and gossip literally hurts your mind and soul

yep same to me. I used to hangout with my friends before but they always talk badly about people and I dont wanna hear it so I barely join their company and now they started gossiping me and talk badly about me 🤷. I couldnt accept it before and I end up dont want to be friends with them anymore but now I have learned from it. Thats how Allah saves you from people that isnt good for you. Alhamdulillah

It's really difficult to forgive the people that have tried and succeeded to tarnish my name behind my back. I still hope Allah swt lets me see justice in this situation. I want everyone who bandwagoned against me, along with the instigator; a jealous female 'friend' who exposed all my insecurities and secrets when I was already very weak and depressed, to get theirs. I want all of their friendships based on hating another person to turn against each other the way they did to me. If my niece didnt step in and showed me the way to Islam I wouldnt even have been here today. I'm glad I got through it, but I am still hurt and traumatized.

I'm not a Muslim but this guy is full of wisdom

I was the same and I left the friend group. They are still bothering me and backbiting.

Al-Hujurat 49:12 "O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful." May Allah protect us from this.

My own family is gossiping about their extended family and their children including me ( pure backbiting )This really helped

When I was in college I just found out my friend gossip bad things behind my back and laughed. Not sure what happened we were good to each other and then she hated me for no reason.

JazakAllah I live in a working hostel,and there all the time we keep talking all that is prohibited, I will try my best from now on to save myself from this sin. May Allah help us all in saving from these sins which look trifle but actually are taking us away from jannah💔

Mufti Menk, how should one deal with someone who has falsely taken an oath of the kalima to prove they are right? And due to that false oath has caused a rift between families? Apart from believing in the justice of Allah swt, what else can one do? How can one achieve justice in this life and the next? How long should one do sabr for? With each passing year, the rift caused by the person/s who falsely took an oath, the rift gets bigger and bigger between the families, all for that one lie?
