I honestly cried during this khutbah. Especially when he told what's the reason were behind the punishment of 80 lashes.. May Allah bles nouman Ali Khan for explaining this to us in so humble way.

Wa' Allah-ee-, I second you, you said the truth...... how merciful, our Lord Allah (SWT), we belong to .........

this speech made me cry. what a beautiful and merciful religion Islam is.

How can someone who deliver a speech this beautiful can be the center of this whole scandal. May Allah protect you Ustath Nouman. You made my heart open to Quran and its beauty, and that's something no slander could take away. May Allah bring the truth as bright as the sun light ameen.

Similarly, when Brother Muhammad Ali chose not to go to Vietnam War to kill fellow others, people demoted him from their society, and Brother was fine with that, as long as he had Allah on his side for being Non-Violent.:)

I have been slandered and it's a very terrible feeling. It kills you from inside and makes you doubt your self worth . As a result , I keep distance from people and now I'm really alone. I really wish people who slander others get their punishment in this world!

This is the beauty of Islam. The beauty of Quran. The more you learn and try to get rid of any kind of confusion, the more it amazes you. If you are not amazed, it just means that you need to go really deep into the matter- in an exhaustive fashion. You are bound to be amazed in sha Allah

Mashallah, what a helpful and relevant lecture. Very imporant for all Muslims and non-Muslims to know. So much slander in today's society, and so many opportunities to commit crimes against ones own soul. May Allah protect us against these sins. Ameen.

I've been thinking about this, there are some things I've said in the past that immediately crept into my head as I was listening to this. It scares me. It's like looking right into a mirror, wallahi. I have to repent.

SubhanAllah The principle of punishment in Islam is if you are doing something that Damages Society (a crime that hurts someone else), then you should be punished in this world according to the laws of Allah, our Master. Islam protects the rights of women (purity, nobility and dignity).

Wallahi I never understood these ayas clearly until now....

Ustadz Nouman Ali Khan, Alhamdulillah, you are among the blessed and blessings of Allah to the Khayra UMMAH. May Allah prolong your life and protect you by all means until the end.

I ALWAYS SAID SOMETHING LIKE THIS! The pain and agony of those whom have committed adultery have to go through on the day of judgement versus the people the Prophet pbuh saw whom have backbitten others, scratching their faces off with extremely long sharp nails over and over again --- the punishments are no easier than the other.

Subhan Allah. You teach us in so beautiful and purified way. No complaints just clear way of sharing message from the most dignified book.

This benefited me so much and this lecture showed me the heavy sin in this act. I am very grateful. I am now more aware and I make an effort more than before. I hope and if Bayyinah see's this comment that I request for a lecture explaining in detail about parents, respecting and obeying, and having patience even if things are really difficult b/w your parents, etc. Thank you for making an effort and may Allah reward each an everyone of you.

I often get insults and bad comments when I go out. Sometimes, I overhear people talking bad about me even when I'm walking with my FATHER outside thinking we're something else. Their imagination is so broad. I try not to get affected by this but in some situations I can't stop the tears, especially that it happens frequently. Surat Ennoor and this khutba gave me some much needed relief. May Allah reveal the truth.

There are many people who try to bring others down because they don't want to see others going ahead of them... anyways don't let their actions and jealousy affect you..keep trust in Allah and everything will be right.May Allah give us patience and reward us with the best in both the worlds.ameen

I find myself touched by this because I'm currently going through something like this whereby people have been talking about me and a man I wish to marry but is not approved by my family despite him being a decent person from a good family. I am not religious and disagree with a lot of what is written in any religious text. But as with any religious text it can be interpreted in different ways. I think the way he interoperates the Quran is an example for others who teach its principles. And even though I disagree on representing any law and punishment on religious texts. I respect him as you see he loves his religion wholeheartedly and represents it in a positive way.

Very relevant and beautiful lecture. Unfortunately we live in communities Muslim and non Muslim that sometimes perpetuate gossip thus cause great damage and slander to reputations despite not having one iota of evidence. I hope that this lecture is widely viewed and shared to remind all of ourselves to mind our business and not engage in gossip and backbiting! And before you look down on other people just because of suspicion or a rumor you heard, look at yourself and focus on being a better person. Anyone that gains gratification by gossiping or slandering others has a diseased heart.

Quran 24:4 And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient this is so deep khutbah on this particular ayah mashallah...
