The sad part is that their negativity starts effecting you so much and it builds up in your heart little by little and you start acting like them without even realising .it happens to me everytime, because I deal with them on a daily basis 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I fell into the same trap. Tried very hard not to let the hatred take over my heart, but it was an uphill battle. I’ve finally done my healing Alhamdulillah, and the last step is forgiveness - forgiveness for them, and forgiveness for yourself. Seek Allah’s forgiveness both for yourself and for them, and then let the matter go. Moving on is not possible while holding on to deadweight. And though you will forgive, do not forget the lessons learned. And next time follow Allah SWT’s advice when it comes to ignorant (toxic) people - ignore and avoid them. That is truly the best way to deal with them, that is, to not deal with them at all.

My brother at the age of 17 has passed away, please pray for him. May Allah grant him highest rank in Jannah.

Alhamdulillah i already cut those toxic people in my life... It really affected me. My life got ruined and became miserable. It was so unhealthy that I almost end my life just to stop those people going through my life..Ya Allah i knew it was a test and I accepted it. Subhanallah and Alhamdulillah because I am free now from them... May Allah forgive me but I dont want to go back in that life...

@@zeeali2565 yess, if you are mean to someone vulnerable who didn’t deserve toxicity then people will be mean to you. Karma. But most of us don’t realise we’re being mean unless we reflect on our relationship with every single person

This happens so often esp in office and university. Even if i minimize my interaction with them, they still continue to backbite. I pray to Allah swt for justice They dnt even think they have done anything wrong

I am the same - the angry emotion can always come out from us. Its only us who would understand how any further abuse etc results in pain already resigning in the heart bubbling up again. They never let you forget the harm they caused. I am trying to apply meditation for 10 minutes away, just closing eyes and imagining the mercy of Allah (SWT) going into the heart - have felt much calmness. Rumination is the worse impact from toxic people - its also impossible to ever break free from negative and horrible voices which are always unjust too.

I am the same. I am generally a peaceful person, but my siblings have been trying so hard to push me towards haram and how haram is all allowed. And if something is wrong I shouldn't speak against it even if its against my children, accusing them even when they've apologised. Those toxic siblings of mine are all on one side while, I am on the other side, all of them shouting at me of how I don't know how to raise my kids, even though I am raising them islamically. I am the oldest among 7 siblings. And all of them are shouting and screaming at me and telling my my children secretly to listen to their parent's when they mainly 12yr old child. Telling him don't listen to your parent's if you think they doing bad stuff and teaching you bad. Your mum doesn't understand anything. Even though I have maintained a good relationship with Allah which helped me maintain a good relationship with my children,.that from the day they were born I maintained that they could talk to me bout anything and I would always help them. How evil can they be?😥

If they are saying haram is allowed and even trying to make u commit haram and trying to make u think u don’t know anything and trying to make u away from the actual truth then know that Allah oversees and watches everything and he is with you on your side for staying with what he decreed (away from sin). He will protect you and your children from the tricks of your siblings and keep them on the straight path because you want to obey Allah and follow his commands

So Correct - my narcissistic siblings always sided with wrong and not right. It was always difficult to understand but I can see how Allah (SWT) can block their minds and ears - or lets say they would always act dumb, blind and deaf on oppression and injustice perpetrated by their narcissistic parents.

Alhamdulillah. After dealing with toxic people at work yesterday I woke up and found this video. Indeed, as the Sheikh explained, the answer is that we should always turn to Allah the All Mighty and the guidance sent to us thru his Messenger Muhammad Peace and Blessings be upon him.

I wasn't born into Islam however I've often consumed Islamic media and specifically Mufti's thoughtful talks and I must say this was somewhat helpful!

My step brother is hurting us..lot.with my dad.Allah please help us..we are in rent house..at this month end we have to move.we dont have a house.we are helpless..step brother and dad hurting lot..pls ask dua for us.

This video comes in my life at a much needed trialling moment for me. It's unfortunate to say I am living in a toxic environment! Its sad when the oppression comes from my mother. Words ARE hurtful! One can only take so much. Continuous harassment and no ability to control anger brings out the worst. Alhamdulillah it's made my faith even stronger and I make dua every day for them to turn back to the right path. Jazakallah kheir Sheikh Menk ❤️ I definitely do need to heal. May Allah make it easy for me (though I've never had anything easy). About to watch this video again!!

Thanks for this video I am an introvert kind of a person and I believe that surrounding yourselves with less but trustworthy and optimistic persons is better than negative and toxic people .postive friends will be always there and u will always remain in peace no matter if u have only one optimistic friend. But when u are surrounded by negative and toxic people they will always try to pull u down ,they will b always discouraging u by saying those words that will hurt u so much ..But I think we should always remain firm and we should not pay any heed to them ...Because these are only the obstacles comming in your way ..but if you have full faith on Allah and u don't give up at any cost u can live your life happily ... And why to waste our beautiful life on these negative people ...just be brave and neglect these people ..and also be positive always...

I know a person who prays five times a day and is usually worried about her prayers and has good relationship with Allah but she hurts me with her words.. and she hurts a lot.. it’s like I can’t sleep because of what she says and how she says.. dealing with her toxicity for last 4 years.. never gave her any shut up call because she is elder than me.. but it’s just so hard hear such hate words when you haven’t even done anything wrong at all

Salaam alaikum brothers and sisters and Eid mubarak . I'm suffering a lot because my husband. I am a convert to Islam since 2018 I was cristian. My husband he treat me bad he has told me many bad words to me and my family he has insulted my mum . I accepted all he told to me but now he started insulting my mother. I feel sad because I tried to keep my family with him because we have a son and I didn't want my son grow up without a family. But I can't more. Allah is witness how I tried to keep my family how many insult I had hold but he is a man who even disrespect his parents how I should pretend he respect my parents and me. Just I can say my conscience is relax because I tried my best but all have a limit and this is the mine. . . . Inshallah Allah (sw) give us understanding to get away with is necessary before you lost your mentally health or maybe your life for someone don't deserve your love and your time. Inshallah Allah give me peace and happiness because I'm good woman and good mother.

Thank you so much when I met someone who’s toxic this made me mad but I have researched how to deal with difficult people for Islam because I’m Muslim subanallah my father used to say this to me . Being patient is hard but the sweetness of relief that Allah has planned for you but is worth waiting for patience is many things like many not only 1 thing Mashallah may Allah forgive our sins it make me learn this and from my father also✨☪

How can we deal with family members, especially elders?they do and say whatever they like. Neither understand nor want to understand how they make suffer the younger ones. 😞😞😞😞 cannot even cut them off because they are family members.

Jazkallah jazkallah mufti sahib u changed my thoughts 😢 I have suffered alot from 7 years am suffering 😢 now it's time to move on from those toxic relationships... They always brought me down, humiliated me and lied about me. But I still forgive them and keep the relationship but not more enough am human being also 😭 I cried a lot in these 7 years after marriage my mom in law devastated my life 😭 I tried a lot to make her happy but she always hated me now enough Im going to leave everything on Allah and not to go back to them inshallahhhhh may Allah reward you for ur beautiful statements. My mum is the most toxic person ever, arrange marriage, made excuses for the sexual abuse we suffered, blamed us, abused us physically and emotionally to the point were we all have mental health problems, yes I made the decision to cut her of completely now after trying to have some sort of relationship with her for 36 years

I needed this so bad. I’ve just come out of an abusive marriage. None of my rights as a wife or woman were being met. None. And this video has given me peace today in understanding that some people are their own enemy. In the mean time i will look and see who i may have caused hurt and apologise or fix the issues.
