just do it, if you don't satisfy with the result you can go to hair salon :) I've been doing this for myself for almost three years, sometimes the result it's not exactly what I wanted but you know it's hair and it grow so don't worry about it too much ☺️🍀

I’m still processing the fact that I actually cut my hair.. so I was having a mental breakdown and did this on a whim...I’ve never had a good relationship with my hair so I thought screw it. I followed this tutorial and omg my hair actually turned out so much better than I expected! Sure it’s not perfect but you can’t really tell. I feel so much better and don’t regret this at all. Same man, I just cried straight for 2 hrs ( doing this daily for almost past a year) and now I want to cut my hairs and here I am. Hope I feel better and more confident after doing this. People often compliment my hair but I am not exactly the attractive type. I feel exhausted of all the things this world has to offer and now I don't think anything matters at all. So I am just gonna chop them off.

i saw another comment that she too cried, and cut her hair (it turned out awesome that was what she said) and me too, i cried so i thought screw it as well, it just a hair and then instead of turning out good, it turns really bad lol its uneven and stuff but i hide it with my other hair .-. i just have to wait til it grows long now (i hate long hair) but my point is we all were having a bad day and decided to cut our own hair lol i hope everything will turns good for all of you!

Same!! Except it was my bangs that I cut. And well, best decision ever! I felt happier since I'd wanted bangs and they actually suited me. They did a nice job covering my forehead.

That was fun to watch. I’ve been cutting my own hair through the pandemic and it works really well, so I’ve carried on. I've been trying to cut my own hair for 1-2 years now and it always looked a little wonky. I just cut mine using your technique and absolutely LOVE it! Even though I don't have access to a straightener right now it worked out perfectly fine! ✨ I'll continiu cutting my hair this way every other month or so. Thank you so much for putting this up! I didn’t use this to do the original cut on my hair, I split it into 2 ponytails and then cut, mostly because my hair is really thin and I’m impatient, but I did use the upwards cut and I’m going to touch it up tomorrow after I wash it using this tutorial. So far I’m super pleased and I think it looks great!! I can’t believe you gave me the guts to do it myself since I can’t afford an appointment right now and I was sick of the split ends and upkeep! Suddenly had the urge to have a hair cut. I thought about cutting my own but have never tried. Then I found this video, luckily this is exactly the one I need. You are soo cute! I am a mom of two boys, it’s hard to get in the salon for myself! So I often get frustrated and bust out my haircutting scissors and give myself a trim (bob as well 😉). My best tip is to leave it a bit longer than you’d like in case you royally mess up and need a professional to fix it 😅. I currently cut both my boys’ hair, but cutting my own hair is more challenging. I do find the blunt bob cut pretty straightforward and adding some upward texture does help make it more forgiving. You look lovely w short hair ♥️

I just cut off 14 inches of my hair. A big thank you to you and this video. Now I can donate my hair to Wigs for Kids.

I did this last night whilst video calling my friends and it looks so good! my family thought I was mad but I don’t place a lot of value in my hair and I don’t need it to be the straightest of cuts xx saved £40 as well!

You could wet your hair instead of straightening it too :) Amazing method though, I didn't expect it to turn out so good.

Thanks! I like to do it with dry since my hair is very kinky at the roots and I have a cowlick, so I find that if I wet it when it dries it ends up all different length. My old hair dresser cut my hair dry too, but if it suits your hair type wetting your hair would be easier! - Tara :)

probably the best video for learning how to do a basic bob- every other video uses several products and techniques and I LITERALLY JUST WANNA KNOW HOW TO CUT A BOB!

This so helped me over lockdown, and I've continued to cut my own hair because I LIKE how it turns out, and it simply makes me happy! I love the fact you can cut it when you want, and there's no need to traipse off to the hairdresser etc. Get loads of compliments too. THANKS!

I followed this video deciding to give my hair a little trim (about an inch off), from being just under my shoulder to a just above the shoulder Bob, surprisingly very happy with my results! And I have quite thick hair

I used your method and it worked great. I watched your video several times, and then cut it about 1inch shorter, and it looks much better than when it was getting too long.

That animation was so cute! How did you make it? I usually cut my own hair too (a standard cut in Sydney is $120...) but I cut it all in one go. I'm not going quite as short as you though- And at the moment, am growing mine out for the wedding 👰🏻

My dad is quite controlling so when I go back to his house (he was violent towards my mum so they broke up) whenever he goes out I’m going to cut my hair and write a note on the door saying “hair will grow back but self esteem won’t” with some of my hair attached to it...yes I completely planned this out eheh

I used two mirrors to look at the back (one behind the head and another to see that mirror). Recently I also got Ellen to take a photo so I could see if it was even. - Tara :)

I love your method and it's more simpler than mine. But instead of straightening your hair, you could just wet it slightly.

I hate going to a stylist because I'm growing my hair out from pixie length and every time I try to get someone to even it out they cut it too short. I literally just followed the instructions from this video after watching it and my hair looks salon quality. I love it! Now I have cute little chin length bob. Forever cutting my own hair from now on.
