This is the tutorial that helped me feel comfortable enough to cut my hair. Been trying to reduce stress levels to work on my mental health, and cutting my hair was one way I could think of. I had a hard time finding tutorials that I could realistically follow at home, and then I found yours. Now my hair feels so much lighter, and it's still a cute cut with lots of options. Brad's tutorial on cutting your own hair is fabulous, but I find doing the back the hardest. What I mean is getting those bands all even when coming the hair straight in the back.

I love how you went from super nervous to Ms. Confident by the end of the vid. That's what a good haircut does to you! I just cut my hair and this is legit hands the best tutorial!

I have been wanting to chop off my hair for SO LONG! (it was down to my hips) I was holding onto it because I grew it out for two whole years - began the journey at chin length. I am SO grateful for this tutorial. From sectioning to styling it took about 30 minutes. LOVE MY NEW HAIR!

This is the only video I watched at 10pm, decided to do it and OMG I love it! First time cutting my hair this much at home and it is not even close to being bad ❤️

I'm finally doing it. My hair is so bleach damaged and breaking off, and been ripped out by my infant and husband so many times I cry dealing with my hair. And my husband always bitches saying not to cut it, don't cut it shorter; but it's so damaged it looks so bad and thinner than it really is because of how uneven it all is at the bottom half. I have been watching hair tutorials and vids for days now, and this one is the one that is putting me in the space I finally needed to be in to make it happen and actually be excited about it and not upset that I'm losing so much length. This was such a good tutorial. I love your reactions. I do it too and I've done my hair for a long time, haha. As a person who has achieved a blunt cut at home, it is possible. Just takes practice. And as you'd said, start longer. My hair is naturally wavy so I always have to cut longer anyway. If you want a straighter back line, versus rounded, angle the cut so the back is cut shorter then the front when you do these. Make it extreme for an angled bob. I've been cutting and styling my own hair for over 20 yrs so not a pro. Just tips I've learned. I just like playing with my hair.

It's only ever 10 yrs or so I completely chop it to chin/shoulder area from waist, and it's fast growing so I don't even wanna consider how much that'd cost to maintain, lol. I'm at the 10 yr mark now so I'm itching to cut it. Been watching videos like yours to decide how to cut it next.

How did you find the cut? I'm looking for a short cut but I have very thick hair so if I don't have layers, it can start looking like a funny triangle shape

How'd it go? I started cutting my hair during the pandemic and never looked back. This method is a great start. I also do the butterfly cut to get some front layers, but it doesn't take out length. About to do another cut tomorrow ✌️

Excellent video... but I just wanted to see it from the back! Great sense of humour and your technique seems to work. My covid hair went from a very short style to my bra line in 3 1/2 years. Got my first cut a few months ago. Not quite long enough to donate. Sounds like unevenness can be corrected best by point cutting? I'm ready for another 2 inches or so off. Wish me luck! Aw... I thought this method worked very well and was easy. If you have someone that can help you even out in the back then you are good to go. Just take your time, pick a day when you are stress free so you dont stress while you are doing it 🥰

I've always loved having hair that is longer than average, but this is just getting to be too much for me and I don't even think it looks pretty anymore xDD I'm hoping that the length will make it easier to cut since its long enough that after i tie it, i should be able to just pull it over my shoulder and cut.
