I went from butt-length hair to hair at armpit length, when I was finished I asked a friend to touch-up where needed but she didn't even need to change a thing. This video alone gave me the confidence, not only does it look cute as hell but I had so much fun doing it :) 10/10 would cut again

I was in desperate need of a haircut. Regular trips to the salon were yet another thing added to my long list of what are now considered "luxuries". Broke, frustrated and in an idgaf mood, your video was the first I clicked on in my search to cut my own hair. ...and I am SO glad yours was the one I found first! My hair turned out SOOO much better than I was expecting it would! For someone who is a "wash and go" type of girl when it comes to my hair, choosing to take the risk of CUTTING my own hair? Eeeek! I'm here to say, it was definitely worth the risk! Your video was so easy to follow! Your laid back attitude made me feel relaxed and a little less timid. Thank you from this still broke, but no longer busted, baby mama! xD

Omg! 🎉💕😄 Thankyou so, so much for this terrific & easy step by step tutorial ✂️ After waiting over 18 months for my Barber husband to take the time to cut my hair which had become a total nuisance & unmanageable with the length reaching my hips! I was so OVER IT ! Have cut it to just below shoulder length. I hope hubby likes it, what a shock will be for him to wake up too haha It's the first time I've ever cut hair, let alone my own! But I simply 'LOVE' my new haircut 💇 it turned out just as good as some $300 cuts I've had in some cases even better!

This, for me, is the best cut-your-own-hair tutorial I have seen! Goodness, so simple! Especially for me, as I WANT a blunt cut so some of the steps I didn't even do. I started off slowly, just took off an inch to see how it worked. I have thin hair so don't have to do sectioning and love how to just cut at a slant so I don't have to worry about trying to do the back separately. I love it! Plan to go back for more later. Thank you, Brittnee!

Thank you SO much for this. I've been cutting my hair for the last year, and all of the techniques in the other tutorials I've watched always leave me with the V-shape in the back and didn't explain how to NOT get that shape, and I couldn't figure out how to not get it, or how to get rid of it without my hair looking uneven. Your technique let me cut my hair without getting the V-shape, and that's all I wanted. This is by far the best, and easiest, tutorial I've watched.

This tutorial was so helpful! I have wavy hair and really struggled to get a halfway decent cut following the tutorials by others with wavy and curly hair. I straightened my hair and followed your tutorial and had the best wash day the next day. I also no longer have hair that is longer in the middle of my back vs at my shoulders, so thankful about that! My hair cannot pull off that look. Now mine appears straight across.

I’ve never tried cutting my hair before, so I was pretty nervous, but this tutorial was great! I have very thick hair so it was definitely challenging, but I took my time and did a lot of blending and touching up and my friends say it looks great! I definitely need some improvement, but this video was a great start and I’m happy the end result 😊

Hello Dear. I just had to tell you...I was so desperate with my overgrown, out of shape, covid hair that I searched for "cut your own hair" and your video popped up in the sidebar. I liked the way your hair looked, so I clicked. I watched your excellent instruction only once, very carefully. And, seriously, I walked straight into my bathroom, grabbed my scissors and started doing exactly what I'd seen you do. The length, the hand position, the overextend at the crown, and the layering. I was especially happy to remove the weight at the sides. I'd been bothered by that for years, and you're the first one to show me how to correct the problem. I swear, Brittnee, my hair looks great. Almost as good as a professional cut. I got rid of FOUR INCHES! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

@@BrittneeAlexus I currently have golden blonde with some left over pink streaks in the front. I will probably do a low lite blended look next with some cooler toned pieces. I am trying to wait about a month to change this look. I had to repair hair because when I first started about a year ago experimenting, and bleached my hair too much within a week. Its healthier now but ya trial and error. I love to see videos like yours tho and learn other tips and techniques.

I love it! I have been cutting my own long layered hair recently as my bangs were getting too long, but I didn't want the rest of it to be any shorter since it's so hot out, and I want to put it up in a pony tail, without a large section still hanging down, hot on my neck. I was doing something like what you've done here, but you clearly showed how to not be so "perfect" in the cut, how to get the back done right, and how to use that vertical cutting-in to blend and take off some of the weight. It's so empowering ! I'm going to go fix up the basic job I did, and make it look more modern and have more movement, AND do so with confidence that I am going to finish with a look I want!

Thank you for this video! All of your videos are super helpful and informative without being wicked long and wordy. You rock!
