Hey girl! I just wanted to leave you a quick comment about a video you did about 3 years ago…I recently found your channel and I also became a member, so I am going back and binging your content. The video I just watched was your “First Date” video, where you take yourself to the cemetery. I did a spit take when you said cemeteries are your favourite place to go, but of course, no one wants to accompany you on your journey…girl! I wish we lived near each other! Graveyards have been my FAVE place to go and take black and white photographs, meditate, breathe, and take a beat to control the pain I am usually in (have an auto-immune disorder as well, Crohn’s Disease with chronic pain syndrome). I find them beautiful and the most peaceful places. One of my cherished spots is a small graveyard near Jasoer, Alberta, Canada, which is a gorgeous town in the Canadian Rocky Mountains (I am Canadian). Oh, I’d love to take you. I have been going to graveyards and just hanging out day or night since I was around 8, so that’s about 4 decades ago! Anyway, I love when I find another enthusiast. I wonder what it is that speaks to us about them?? I know they help me just quiet a busy mind and an often pain riddled body..,do you get a similar benefit while visiting them? I also love finding older graveyards with the beautiful tombstones, marble statues, and family mausoleums. Anyway, sorry this isn’t a comment on your video, but if I didn’t already have bangs, I would totally follow your tutorial. Very informative and easy to follow, detailed instructions! I am off to continue making my way through all the content discovering you has opened up for me! Thanks for all your effort and I hope you are well physically, emotionally, and mentally!❤Dawn PS …turns out the comment wasn’t so quick!!😂

Sadly, my hair started breaking off a few weeks after using that product, too. My hair is long and fine, but I had a lot of it. My ponytail is thinner and sad now, but now I know for sure it was that product my new stylist used on me that damaged it. I've never trusted people with my hair and now I regret trusting a stylist after 35 years of cutting and coloring my own hair. Never again! I love your sassy, flirty bangs and can't wait to try it! Thank you for sharing your fun experience!! ❤

Hairdresser here. The thing about k-18 and olaplex is that they aren’t meant for maintenance. Olaplex gave us such bad education and came out with all these products saying that we could use it all the time everytime. And it’s not true. And I assume the same is true with k18. My opinion is that these are salon services. And if your hair is severely damaged then you take home an olaplex 3 or the k18 take home. Your hair doesn’t look fried or exceptionally damaged. Because you’re blonde you could use Davines NouNou shampoo and conditioner that is made for fine, dry and brittle hair.

My hair is extremely healthy, and I’ve never had a problem with Olaplex, and I love it. I love the in salon service as well as the product line. K18 however…terrible. I’ve never felt my hair so brittle in my life! My mom was a hairstylist, so I developed a real love for the industry and hair products in general…in all my years i’ve never tried anything so terrible for my hair.

Just be careful with any bond builder. They can snap hair off if you use to often. It is just ment to be used for chemical related hair at the time before colouring To many people use all the Oloplex line and that can also cause breakage. To much bond builder. A good shampoo and conditioner with a heat protection and a light weight oil after to smooth is all most people need

  • @ImMalloryBrooke

I used K18 only twice and immediately had the issue. Olaplex doesn’t cause me breakage at all. I take extremely good care of my hair, so I was devastated to see this amount of breakage.

@@ImMalloryBrooke I just wanted your followers to know to much bond builder like Oloplex and k 18 can cause breakage. Oloplex has so many products that your followers just need to know they don’t need them all. And even some shampoos can cause breakage if not the right shampoo for them. I use Oloplex myself and have for a few years but was using to much and had my hair break. Been doing hair 45 years and u learn something new all the time. Love the bangs

@@ImMalloryBrooke of course you do. It’s not a function of mistreatment. It’s a function of over treatment, sometimes. Even too much of a good thing can cause breakage, no matter how high quality the product. Too much keratin treatments makes the hair shaft surface to be hard and brittle and makes it snap, too much moisture makes the hair shaft too soft and stretchy and causes it to fall apart. Too much products overall can cause the strands to have buildup and unable to absorb moisture which makes the hair inflexible and it breaks. And like your skin, everyone’s hair is different. It’s a balancing act. I’m sorry, my initial comment was extremely reductive.

@@ImMalloryBrooke because k18 is a protein treatment I assume you need more moisture. Assuming it’s the only change in your hair routine, you could need slightly more moisture in your routine, or less of the k18 product.

@@ImMalloryBrooke I should have never turned my back on Olaplex. If you've never tried it, you should, however you look beautiful in that hairstyle even though you were wanting it. 😉

@@amybracker I’m always talking about olaplex. I started doing their in salon treatments 7 years ago, and love the consumer products as well.

I had better luck when I did it Brad Mondos way where you wet it then split you part and cut by bringing one side onto the other side of your face. You will have to watch it to get what I mean.

I would never recommended cutting hair wet to start. It is easy to cut too much because the hair shrinks once it’s dry.

@@ImMalloryBrooke Fair enough, although I just cut mine slightly longer to allow for that. I will say I don't have your skills so it didn't look anywhere as good as yours when I tried it a few weeks ago.
