FYI, Hotronix released a new firmware version for the Fusion 360 a few weeks ago. With this release they added a new button at the bottom on the screen so you don’t have to slap the handle to release it.

Hey romero, what do think about backing embroidery with "soft n touch" etc. To make it more smooth to wear. I want add this to my work but so far i failed to make it durable. You got any tips or perhaps a video about it?

I usually don't use it unless Im working on children clothing. It does have to be light washed and air dried or else it can come off. Its more of a special request in certain situation.
How do you do a "laundry test" on a hat? Thank you again for your great videos, I always learn something.

I toss it in the washer. The hat takes a beating but its a good way to check if my patch was fully set.
Does the pillow help the adhesive fully set? I'm having issues with my patches, especially the more detailed(thicker areas) Adhesive kind of floats on those areas and I can easily peel the whole backing off.

Yes, it makes a big difference using the pillow. It gives it an even pressure all around.
What are the advantages to heat pressing patches opposed to embroidering the design directly onto the hat?

Good question. I'll give you 2 reasons. 1- If you have a complicated detailed design, or very small text sometimes making a patch makes it easier to create. 2- If you sell patches, you can have the option to put the design on a hat as an upsell. There are other reasons but these would be my main reasons, thanks for the question.

How does the heat press adhesive compare to heat and bond used for applique? Is it stranger than heat and bond?

The white foam pad came with my hat heat press.
