How To Cut A Pumpkin- The Easiest Way

Фильм және анимация

Buying a pumpkin can be intimidating because once you have it, how do you open it? Or cut it?! Or get the skin off?! No worries, Chef Adam will show you how!
This is also for anyone who doesn't have access to canned pumpkin that we often use in our recipes. (Apparently, canned pumpkin is only an American thing!) You can cut open the pumpkin and dice it like Adam shows you how to do - and then boil it and puree it to make homemade pumpkin puree!

I'm so glad you demonstrated how to peel a pumpkin. I'm so intimated on how to cut it, but you made it look easy. I've ordered your new cookbook and can't wait to get it. Hugs to you both.

You can actually eat the skin on that type of pumpkin :) I’ve had it in Japanese and Indian food that way and it was really tasty.

Our Garden is becoming a perm garden as we speak, so only malabar spinach, green onions, sage, and asparagus are left over. We have been doing raised beds for the past 4 years but we are cement blocking everything in now, so there is no replacing wood every few years. We did grow pumpkins(Yaaasss, as Adam would say!!) and gourds, and they went BANANAS!!!! Careful with those viney thingies, we had gourds hanging from trees like ornaments, lol. We grow alot of our veggies but living out in the country on 10+ acres allows us to go crazy with our food. Some things work and some things not so much. Learning as we go and we use natural compost, and no chemicals are ever use on our food!
