Finally! Someone who knows how to cut the shag of the 70's that we loved so much! I must have watched 30 videos and none got it right except this talented hairstylist! Excellent job!

Nobody knows how cut 70s shag. It’s so simple. Most the salons just chop yr hair and styling jell to make it look good. Once you wash yr hair you have a mess.

OMG SAME++ I have been going thru all these "shag" haircut videos..I almost skipped this one out of frustration.. I basically knew what to do the whole time..but I wanted to make sure I had as much info as possible before I got the scissors out. I didnt want the "modern shag"= thank you so much 4 this. totally saved this video and ty

@@izzyjones7108 You can create a shag shape with short to long layers as well. It depends on how soft yuou want it to fall, and it cam be as connected or disconnected as you want.

same. ive had around 2 paid haircuts and both were completely messed up. i had to clip my hair and hide it etc for longer than a year. i want it but i dont know if itll go well

I have curly hair and shag my own hair for years. I’v seen many videos and by fat this is the best Ben Brown. I will not go to any stylist because I had bad experiences to where they have cut inches from my long hair. Most of the time they decide what style they give you not what you would like.

Absolutely love this shag. Wish the video didn't speed up & mute during your instructions. As a stylist I could have watched complete start to finish tutorial 😊 I love the way you create subtle texture. I have to learn your cuts. They're terrific 👏

I've been wearing this style for years in platinum. Honest truth, I get compliments everyday from men and women. I have bangs cut at the ridge if the nose. I love it!! Beautiful cut video.

just did this on my fine wavy hair and I am so happy! Since it was a DIY cut, I made the first layer the length of my face (so it would be salvageable in case it went wrong), and left a thin portion near the neck almost untouched. And with a bit of wave enhancer, my hair finally has volume, movement and is fun to look at 😊. Thank you!

Wish I had done this but is a bit challenging for a diy. And so tired of cutting my hair. So bummed that I trusted anyone again!

Brilliant technique! This is how shags were cut back in the 80s but I am afraid to ask for a shag now because the stylists usually grab a razor and they don't balance the cut. This is a beautifully balanced cut. You are a great stylist.

If your afraid they will mess up a shag and you still want. A short hairstyle I must ask if you have ever asked for a short bob cut with eye grazing bangs

I got a shag hair in the 70s that was the best ever and that woman had awards back then. Until your video, no one could bring that shape. I watched many shag hair videos. The only difference is the bottom part of the hair was more thinned out, a bit more spike here and there. What you brought is Excellent! Thank you very much.
