I have it that way, and they work. They sound on the music option of the controler or in cinema when they are needed.

@@jaimepf1569brother if i connect my laptop with tv hdmi cable and my home theater is connected with tv hdmi arc also so home theater will give me 5.1 audio and if i download movie from movie website in 5.1 audio also so home theater will give me 5.1 audio effect ?
i have connected in the same way toy have explained in the video. but i am getting very low sound from TV as source. i ca say half as compared to other inputs if i connect any other BT device to HT-S40R the volumn output is Normal, pls suggest any solution

You need to change the sound on your TV to HDMI ARC not as TV speaker

Please give my answer it will be helpful for me brother my question is that if i connect my laptop with hdmi cable and if i connect home theater with tv hdmi arc cable so home theater will give me surround effect if i download movie from website in 5.1 audio when laptop is connect to tv so surround effect will come if laptop is connected with tv and movie is download in 5.1 audio

Press / repeatedly to select the item, then press ENTER. You can select the following items. •[CURRENT STATUS] (Checking the current status) (page 31) •[SPEAKER] (Speaker settings) (page 31) Check that [SPEAKER] - [MULTI SPEAKER] is set to [ON] (page 31). It's just an amplifier and not a speaker so there should be no sound coming from it.
