@@venkatgv I like it, the sound is good and setup was extremely easy. The subwoofer and rear amplifier do not need to be in line-of-sight to communicate which is useful. The subwoofer is much bigger than I expected - please read the measurements so you know what you're getting! Sound is very good but I did find I need the vocal mode on, and the subwoofer no louder than 5 to keep vocals crisp. The soundbar itself is only tweeter range, it's surprising how much is handed to the sub and rear speakers.

Amazing review specially on the surround sound and channel sepration abilities of the home theatre. One major con that the soundbar misses is a HDMI input for PS/Xbox connectivity. Not sure hot to connect them if my tv is connected with HDMI ARC.

the speaker set is nice but the grey colored grille on the subwoofer with significantly large holes in it makes it a bit of an eyesore to look at-it lends it the appearance of an old radio system or stereo from the early '90s.Wish sony had incorporated a regular black grille in it with smaller holes to make it look more refined and contemporary.

Seems like an amazing product. However, one question? Does the rear speakers amp have to be in line of sight ? What if there is an obstruction by a piece of furniture ?

How is the vocals sound coming through

I have the Samsung HW M550 3.1 soundbar paired with wireless rear speakers bought seperately but the sound on the rear speakers is weak most of the time and comes on strongly only in a few of the tv shows and movies

Thanks for you're review. I'm seriously considering buying this set. I have just one question: How would you compare the sound to an (old fashioned?) wired 5.1. system? Is the sound of a movie different? Because you said the back speakers ar only used when needed (which sound logic).

how does this compare to the ht s20r?Do both of them sound quite similar,albeit the former a little louder due to its increased wattage?

Please show how to set it's levels and other settings which are there in the home theater

Does it play true Dolby digital sound or just speaker fill?

I have connected set top box in one hdmi port and this speaker system in another port in Mi tv. With hdmi control settings on, it always comes with tv sound and I had to turn off and turn on the hdmi control to divert the sound from tv to speaker system. Any suggestions to make the sound of tv always comes in the speaker?

Any other alternative to this in same price segment and better sound experience ??

Iv got mine wall mounted at about 6 ft from ground…sounds amazing….just buy separate 360 wall mount brackets for rear speakers from amazon.

Samsung is fine tuned for lows…sony is mids and highs…if u want to spend more money look into senhisser or sonos.

They need to be plugged into a separate module which looks like a set top box it will need a seprate power source and will connect with the subwoofer automatically.

I don’t think it will suit for common usage other than 5.1 movies and Dolby outputs, Plan to go for receiver and dedicate speakers(customised technicians)

In most of times in sound bars we getting low sound while persons speaking in video and background score is high this all makes me to volume up and down frequently, when background score comes I'm lowing the volume and again when they are talking in video I'm raising the volume is there any solution for this or any settings required these kind of issues..

This is common with 2.1 soundbars. The sound engineering is done in movies such that audio dialogue is delivered in centre channel only. But as 2.1 systems have 2 channels (L and R) only a virtual C centre channel is created. This causes dialogue to be overpowered by background sounds. The only way to overcome this is either getting a 3.1 or 5.1 soundbar which have dedicated centre channel speaker.

Hi, I am looking for a soundbar and taken demo of sony S40R. I wasn't very happy with the performance. In my personal view, bass effect is a bit less. I have taken demo of sony S500RF which is 1000 watt RMS and I liked it but didn't purchased because it is old model and not wireless surround speaker. Could you please suggest me 5.1 soundbar of any brand in the budget of upto 30K?

@@mashudumudau After taking multiple demo of different sound system of multiple brand, I had purchased LG SP8A. Its an amazing soundbar which gives us theatrical experience of DOLBY ATMOS. You don't need to visit cinema hall. 😀 It fills your room with sound, crystal clear voice, amazing thunder of bass and what not. I am using it from last 6 months and It was my best decision.
