I would have never tried sanding my tires to get the letters white. Interesting tip Ryan. I’ll give it a go when I need to do this.

Guys, don't do this. Sos pads, or whesleys white wall cleaner will work better and not wear down the letters. He said it took him five mins for half the wheel and didn't even wash the rims and tires. Different approach for sure

Wire Brush (like a grill brush) and Good Degreaser like Simple Green can make them like new in less than 2 minutes per tire!

Great tip! I have the same wheels on my 98 Silverado. They look great on your truck. When I bought them take-offs from the dealership stacked in a warehouse. I've scrubbed really hard with a wire brush but cannot remove the brown on some of the top white letter writing. I think this was caused from them being stacked with the backside of the tire on the letters. It sucks. Ruins the look. I will try this trick. Amazed at how the white popped when you were finished.

So I ordered me some BF Goodrich radio tires off Amazon I got most of the blue off but you could still see a light tint of the blue stuff and some black stuff that I just could not get off I used bleach tried everything , did what you showed to do and it worked wow look great thank you for the info appreciate that

Will wet sanding work if so what grit should I use

Try some scrubbing bubbles next. I wanna know if it would work lol. Its a miracle worker. Wish i had white tires to try it on.

I have a 2016 f150 xlt sport 5.0 oxford white and I have the factory Goodyear wrangler white letter tires and 20 inch factory chrome rims (off of a Dallas cowboy edition f150) and the white letters some of the rubber is chipping off.
