Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have a Thermador cso and have been using ALOT off elbow grease to get half as good off results. The baking soda and vinegar was the winner for me plus multiple steam functions, wiping out in between. My oven hasn’t been this clean since new.

Thank you very much for your effort. You went the extra mile showing the different outcomes of each solution. It helps to see someone actually do it because you never know how much product to use how hard to scrub. Etc.

Thanks Maria, that's so lovely to hear! I have a focus on video content at the moment, so most of the new posts on my website will now have accompanying videos (and they'll also be uploaded here on YT). Hopefully you'll learn even more with the visual element of video added in. :)

Thank you! I love a great visual and this process with just steam, vinegar, and baking soda was super helpful for cleaning my WOLF CSO.

I have a wolf steam oven and it's so hard to clean. I roasted chicken in it once and it made such a mess. I tried the baking soda/vinegar and it did nothing. I also tried the Easy Off and was afraid that it would get into the holes in the back of the oven. This video was helpful, I will look for the gel cleaning product.

The gel is really great, Susan, because you only need to apply it to the exact spots you're trying to clean. I MUCH prefer it to an aerosol spray for that reason, but even if you use something like Easy Off and it gets in near the fan at the back of the oven, a steam cycle (or two) should flush out any residue.

When you mix baking soda and vinegar that bubbling reaction is the chemical reaction of the two compounds becoming salt water. Looks dramatic but not an effective cleaner. I know that lots of people online recommend this cleaning combo but I never understood it because salt water is not a good cleaner. Any cleansing you get is from the abrasiveness of the baking soda. Either the baking soda OR the vinegar used separately would be much more effective cleaners than the two combined.

Mixing baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and vinegar (acetic acid) causes a chemical reaction that produces a salt (sodium acetate) and water, as well as carbon dioxide gas.
