Hi there . I am struggling to remove stains from walls of oven . I will try the soak after the spraying as you have shown us .Do you spray roof of oven ? I am finding this part very difficult to clean . Many thanks for your video .

Hi! that is a great question. The top of the oven will be quite difficult to clean so the best course of action would be to spray and soak and hope for the best. I know it is not the best answer but there is not much we can do for the top. As for the walls with tough stains, try the "spray --> soak --> spray a little more --> scrub with non-abbrasive scrubber" method, should work with some elbow grease. Good luck!

The top is the only place I ever get build up because it's covered in heating elements with very little room to clean around them. It would be great if the element was removable.

My oven's upper heating element has a release button. Pulling the button downwards will partially release the heating element and allow it to tilt downwards slightly so that the top surface can be reached.

Hi, it depends on the model. If you have a regular steam oven then there is no drain and you will have to clean up the water yourself. If you have a similar model of combination steam oven, then there is a drain in the bottom and not much water should remain. consult your local technician if you find excess amount of water left over.

Sometimes I find that mine doesn’t always drain. When this happens, I go into the maintenance menu and do a manual rinse. That will usually clear the pooled water

Can you please specifically identify which oven cleaner you used and which non-abrasive scrub brush you used? Aren’t ALL oven cleaners typically “food safe” such as the Easy Off brand?

hi the Miele one is the only one that I have safely tried and used. You can obtain this from miele directly. if you are in north america you will be able to order from either the USA or Canada official site. Do not use Amazon for it as it will be about 3 times more expensive. Most major brands of super effective oven cleaners are a mixture of pretty much purely toxins and carcinogens so please use specifically food safe types. This is especially true for most well known brands, google it ...

@@mjd9366 I got one from the Japanese dollar store, not really any brand. But if you go to a local specialized kitchen store and ask for a non-abrasive brush it will be likely made with a hard plastic fiber, which would be safe to use.

This method did not work for me, but I'm sure it's because of how (very) long the baked-on stains have been building up in our oven. I'm wondering if it will eventually work if I keep doing this process many, many times. Or, I'm thinking I may try using Easy-Off Oven Cleaner (the fume-free variety). Is it possible that there are stains that will just never, ever come off?

I would be cautious against using anything marketed as oven cleaner. I would start with Barkeeper's Friend (the powder, not the liquid), and use it liberally with the scrubbing side of a blue (non-abrasive) sponge. BKF is wonderful in this application with stainless steel. You'll want to rinse thoroughly afterwards.

That part is not easily cleanable which is a bit of a miss in design. This oven is one of the only combination steam ovens with a grill option, so pros and cons. I will be exploring this further in the coming months so hopefully a solution can be found soon.

@@SteamOvenGuru I may be wrong. I may have confused the descaling mode for a self-cleaning mode because that is the way it was described by a promo video. Reading through the manual I see it has you use a water and vinegar solution to descale but you may still need to clean it by hand inside the oven cavity because the manual also has instructions for cleaning the oven the traditional way. But that may be because descaling is recommended only after 100 hours. Traditional cleaning may only be needed in between descaling. Descaling appears to be a tedious multistep process of heating with descaling solution in the water tank followed by a couple rinse heatings. It may be easier to clean the traditional way. This is an F.Blumlein countertop combi steam oven BTW. It's a 32QT countertop oven. VERY large. I'm not buying it though because it seems the temp is adjustable in only increments of 10° F.

@@sashas3362 right, most counter top applications will be different from built in solutions. Built in machines will typically have dedicated descale programs from the manufacture, that is set up for the best cleaning for the machine in a touch-less situation.
