Today we are talking about choosing life partner wisely/ how to choose a life partner wisely and the 3 strategies I personally adapted to find my match.
The ones of you who have known me for a while know that I had been single for many years and weren't at a point where I felt ready to commit to the process of actively choosing a life partner.
After quitting my job and solely focusing on my business I knew I had reached a point in my life where it made sense to learn how to find the right partner in life. I did my research, I did my due diligence and applied all my lessons learned. Today I share with you the 3 strategies that changed my whole approach to the dating world, got me to finally focus on the RIGHT TYPE and got me the right guy ;)

Somebody who likes and supports what I can and want to do. I also want to be supportive of him. We don't even need to do identical things. If we have differences, it's great when we can see it as enriching.

Someone who end goal is finding a Soulmate. Someone who is open, honest, and loyal. Medium to high libido. Is open to trying new things. Has a love for people. Willing to support me in a healthy lifestyle including working out, bicycling, hiking, skiing and nutrition. Someone who will call out my bullshit when necessary :)

So nice video. I was 40 when I had done all these decisions about my partner. And then I went out to dance tango 3 times a week and I trusted myself to be good enough for someone. And yes, high self esteem is absolutely the key. I met the guy who wanted me and nobody else. We are happy married and have our family now! :)

    1. Enlist what are your non-negotiables wants for the relationship (rejection is filtering out) and be open about that with person you meet to date. Enlist your non-negotiables traits of your partner (this list would be used to filter and as North Star to kind of person you yourself have to become). 2. Get out of your comfort zone. Experiment, learn and repeat. 3. Rationally select/filter (using the list) to the right partner before the emotions take over.

I don't think many people have ever thought of setting out a plan for a partner search. This is very useful information. Thanks for sharing. (BTW, when it comes to being too "picky," I heard a lot of that in the past, but I managed to avoid three for-sure abusive relationships that way by using my own judgement).

I met my spouse when I was a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. I had no thought of finding a life partner while I was there, but I made a connection with someone whom I couldn't imagine living without, so we got married. I thought I could not be with someone from a culture that was so different from my own, but I was so wrong. She enriched my life so much in ways I could have never predicted. To me, I make the best relationships when I am not looking for it. It happens naturally, unexpectedly. It's so important to be okay with being alone and just be yourself.

"To me, I make the best relationships when I am not looking for it. It happens naturally, unexpectedly. It's so important to be okay with being alone and just be yourself." - exactly because then you are focusing on your life and whoever comes into your life either fits to it or the don't :) no need to compromise yourself...

Yeah, I used to be attracted to people who need me and whom I could save, who really at the end are a burden and don't support me, but that's also true that I didn't know exactly what I want and now I do. Thanks, Wenzes!

My fiancé is an ENTJ, so we have a hell of differences but I couldn’t dream of a better match! We both are ambitious and support each other! But I think most importantly we both understand who we are and we know it’s not easy but we really want to make things happen, we respect and care for each other and we want to become better individually and together ! I really enjoyed listening to you as you put words on the struggles I’ve been through and still am going through. I find it very hard to set boundaries and to be honest about what I want, and I don’t have your gift for words! Ahah so it takes practice! But I’m really glad I found him and that I found your channel! Inspiring! You’re amazingly beautiful inside-out ❤️

I have been with someone who matched my list ; physically not my usual type ( neither emotionaly) . We had a 3 year relationship very fulfilling , not many fights but a part of me was screaming on the inside everytime we argued (well guess what ? you are NOT my type!) at the end he was unbearable and I had no more tolerance for his ways because the feelings came from my brain not my guts. I ended up with someone who I was crazy about on a gut and heart level ... he did not want to commit ... back to square one. lol.

I hope you never have to walk the road I did, 7 years ago I was at where you are right now, I am an INFJ who married to my Boyfriend of 5 years (INTP) back then. thinking I am doing the smart thing , marrying the guy who’s personality and everything matches with me but I have no feelings for... well guess what ... that feeling that i was hoping so much and waiting for it to grow bigger never turned into love, and actually after some time it turned into thirst for true connection and ... now I am where I have to decide if I am okay to live without love, and connection for the rest of my life or do I have the courage to leave my marriage at 36 ... be careful of what you preach….

I've never had friends or romantic relations where I felt I was with my equal. Ppl are evil, and seem addicted to it. The rampaging selfishness of most humans has put me off to any type of relationships. Much happier alone than with ppl who are trying to change me, or who eventually reveal their surprising mental illnesses.

  • @Wenzes

I understand and agree this approach, however, I wonder does it apply to the case that I want to find a good friend first without saying upfront what I ultimately want until we both find each other compatible to go to the next level? Is this in your opinion lack of confidence and clarity about what I want in a life partner?

I thought the same thing as I watched the video, Islamic guide on choosing life partner really focuses on preventing unnecessary early romance and allows the two to see if they are right for each other or not by communicating directly and honestly. But unfortunately most Muslim families turn it into a race or something to flex about and miss the most important basics. Then they end up with unhappy marriages, what a shame. I hope we can fix those issues with ourselves..

being an infj I think I'm unpredictable and I think life is also uncertain and unpredictable so too many expectations can also lead to a failed relationship..im single since a long time and it feels great and don't plan on anything..it seems u don't force anything in life of an infj as they r the chosen ones and sometimes universe does it's own thing in their life..also I think girls n guys r totally different as they actually r a different species altogether whether infj or not they think differently ..being guided by universe.. so many girls came into my life but it seems they were there for a reason maybe past life karma or something else and none of them worked out despite so much love n attraction..there r no coincidences in life every one you meet has some connection with your past life.. would like to know how your relationship is going now..hope it's going great..

That sounds great, but many women depend on a man to help pay the bills, so they can't go looking. They have to stay with the wrong partner for financial reasons. They can't afford to live alone to even plan the right relationship

Other than factors such as his mindset, life goals, values, principles, etc... how do you see that his mbti type play in the relationship? It is just a question out of curiosity. I know that if one works on oneself, one can develop one’s functions to become more balanced in oneself and one’s relationships with others.

Wenzes yes I see. Wow! I had met an ISTJ last year too. He was amazing and mentally stimulating. It was as if I met my soulmate. But as I was not ready to be in a relationship, I only allowed it to stay at the friendship level. But he taught me a lot. We would hang out and sometimes we did not even have to talk. He was funny, a bit arrogant, but I knew that he was very kind in the core. He is also goal oriented.
