Gael was in a teleporting cheese of his own yesterday but it backfired on him and got caught inside a wall. I thanked the old man, had a toast with him, and poisoned the rat to death 😈

Thank you sir. Luckily it only took me four tries to get farm that staff and then a few attempts on gael but it worked like a charm.

Man. This guy handed me my axx on a silver platter so much I gave up on a character I poured countless hours into and I haven’t stopped feeling guilty for it yet. I don’t remember the characters name. Lothric knight sword+10 and fast rolling in full millwood set. Kept shredding his life down decently enough but would always die when he had like 5%health left. don’t know how I’d feel about cheesing him but this time I’m coming with a strength build wielding fume sword.

Beat him on the second try with this strategy. Phase 3 felt much easier for me when I only went around the wider part of the collapsed building

thanks, beat him after several tries with this tactic; Pestilent Mist is definitely the MVSpell! -- Dancer, Dragonslayer Armor, Demon Prince, Halflight, and finally Gael. thanks again.

Glad you got him! And Pestilent Mist really is such a great spell in this game and can do so much damage, lol.

So it took several tries, and the last one was definitely an intense game of ring around the rosie from both Gael and I, he gave it his all (which was terrifying XD) but combining this staff's poison with some well timed mists is what finally did it. (I could melee him just fine in P1, heck even in P2 it wasn't "bad" P3 where he just went teleport nuts was getting a little disheartening for a melee build.) Thanks! :D

Theres a wall you can get behind right behind the entrance where he'll get stuck and de-aggro. He just sits there and does nothing. You have to bait him to the outside of the wall and then roll and or run through the path between the wall and pillar and run behind the wall. Theres a video on it. Im not sure if you can aim poison mist, but storyteller staff doesnt work there because his hit box is too low or youre too high. If you get too close to the wall, he'll re-aggro and walk around. The only way the staff works is if you can target him and cast, but when you get behind the wall, the lock falls off. I was able to lock on him, run around the corner, cast, he got poisoned and de-aggro. Lock fell off and we just sat there. So i finished him off at the other wall shown in this video.

This is ultimate chedder. He doesnt actually get "stuck" in the sense of wall clipping, he just de-aggros and sits there. Its really odd.

Dang....after fighting this guy for HOURS, and always dying when he goes crazy in the last 3rd, finally I managed to get revenge! If the game cheeses you, cheese it back!

Man I am so frustrated. I fought him half a hour ago and he was left with the tiny line of health, but I got to greedy, forgot to heal up and he killed me. I will try again tomorrow. I didnt came this far just to give up.

The pestilent mist doesnt really work on quick bosses, such as abyss watchers, sister friede, nameless king, Pontiff, etc. It also doesnt work too well on teleporting bosses like Crystal sage or aldrich.

The mist makes bosses piss on themselves and gives Oglels a stiffy

Yea!

killed 1st time after 4 normall atempts, bigger walls make it easier to avoid the boss

I've tried fighting him 15 times using this method. In the 2nd phase his attacks go right through the walls. Doesn't work.

It took me about 30 tries but it eventually worked. Bring a shield for the ranged attacks.

Gael uses cheese, so it's fair to cheese back. Input reading waste of time boss.

People that cheese Gael are the same kind of people that go on IMDB and look up the twist endings to movies before watching them BORING this is the best fight in Souls History, Elden Ring included for the love of God don't cheese Gael

Simply? my ars, the idea is simple but there's nothing about this fight that isn't difficult. Also It's seriously easier to just "dance" around with and only hit him when he lounges at you and then stalls out for a few moments. This here is not easy, if you're good enough to stay alive with him like this the whole time, running around this thing, you're definitely good enough to beat him much & easier and faster? "If you want to throw out some pestilent mist"... I actually like attempting to avoid damage during this and other fights. P. Mist will eat more health away that a hit by him if you just walk to near it for even one nano fraction of a micro-planck Second.

Yeah I’ve found that the mist nails me when I’m standing further away that the enemy (they’re standing right next to it taking no damage at all). The poison is easier and more effective
