You don’t have to, but it helps. You can either use hairspray inside the grips or grip glue, or just twist some wire on. Helps them from sliding off or even twisting around while riding

I used paint and was shocked to see how good it sticks. As a matter of fact, it stuck so good, I almost couldn't get the handle on all the way because the paint started to stick better than expected...

@@fc1133 I'm about to try paint as well, seems like alot of guys use it. Once it dried it didn't have any movement? Also did you just spray inside and turn the grip? So a few seconds of spray?
